Both are better than the pwd at CQC. The pwd has the low damage of the Sirius and the low rof the Eridani. All 3 have identical cof and vertical recoil. The pwd also has a smaller magazine and longer reload time.

The only benefits of the pwd are longer drop off and less horizontal recoil.

All that said, just trial them and see what you like.

Tonk Bushido is much more fun.

When I used to do it all the time I ran with a Vanguard with full stealth, racer frame, AP + Enforcer with a dedicated gunner and maximum ammo/reload speed upgrades for both. Zooming around behind the lines and hunting people. During the PPApocalypse we'd go halfway across the map to TR/VS fights and murder-fuck all the PPA/HE wall clinging shitters. The last time we did it we went around and hunted down all the Gatekeeper-on-a-cliff shitters and ended their farm.

It really is good fun.

Vehicle stealth is what you want if you are doing actual bushido; people will tell you about the mad dps on the Prowler, or the shield on the Vanguard, or what have you. But the reality is that in a 1v1 tonk fight, if you get the drop on the other guy and get an AP round into their rear armor plate, you are going to win 99% of the time unless you get jumped by someone else while doing it.

1v1 Tonk fighting is very similar to cold war submarine fights. If you see the other guy and he doesn't see you, odds are insanely in your favor and he's probably dead.

Side armor is what you want for line battles. You want it for sitting in the middle of a fight with a half a dozen support sunderers and a half a dozen friendly tonks side by side, bombarding an autism fort.

Stealth used to also be good for this before they nerfed most of the infantry farming guns on vehicles; back in the day more than one HE lightning or Fury Harassar suddenly had a Bad Time when they came around the corner to farm our Sunderer to find my fully crewed 2/2 AP Vanguard hull down in a ditch right next to it.

Of course not. Battleye is just like any other code-based anti-cheat, it doesn't detect suspicious behaviours like instagibbing or teleporting, it only flags you as a hacker if patterns in your client match patterns of hacks already in it database.
And then again, just look at a1dz and arma which have used battleye for a good while now and are filled with cheaters.

tldr battleye will be better than daybreak's anticheat (which only detects attaching debuggers, and the rest is stat-based lmao), but still shit, and it won't do anything to those who exploit lag, or those that write their own hacks and don't give them away besides to close friends

Battle eye isn't banning anyone. DBG is reviewing battle eye data and then banning.

In other words, it does nothing.

And any half-competent cheaters are getting around it by spoofing white-listed programs (e.g. loading your cheats in a recursion module and then playing with recursion enabled) or editing the client-side hitboxes and other data that STILL isn't verified with a hash check OR encrypted.

It's placebo anti-cheat until they actually put some effort into it: Battle-eye combined with making file editing more difficult / impossible, plus stat-tracking measures, working to make sure 3rd party white-listed programs can't be used to sneak cheats in, and an autoban system when enough flags are tripped - then we have something moderately effective.

You can't make anti-cheat 100% effective, but cheating in this game shouldn't be as stupidly easy as it is right now. 1 in 20 players are cheating going off self-reporting stats. That's fucking ridiculous.

Those are the ones that makes the most difference to me. I guess it depends on what faction you are. NC is an overall improvement I think. TR I can go either way. Except on infil. The TR infil one is a massive improvement. They just need to fix the tigh camo .

They have around 2000 players online in the evening and there is no way for me to count unique IPS. F2P games are all about that impulse purchase. The development (read : expensive) phase of PS2 is over. Smedley, well before leaving, said the game broke even, so considering they aren't releasing anything right now other than poor reskins or shitty armors (sorry Fagen but gotta be honest), they are -in my opinion- far from losing money with just werl who works for a sandwich per week, billbacca that works for a warhammer 40k figurine per week, Bburnes that work a year for a 3d printed replicar of the TAR/TRV, and the other faggots that mainly work on h1z1 and spend 6 hours a week on failside 2.

The Gatekeeper is supposed to be a long range AV Weapon. The added acceleration mechanic makes it impossible to hit anything at long range short of a deployed Sunderer. Predicting movement and leading is near impossible. It's the same reason why Fractures suck so hard. And forget about hitting Magriders, it's just not possible anymore.
The acceleration mechanic makes it impossible to hit moving targets at close range too. Flashes and especially Harassers are impossible to hit, unless they are hugging your vehicle. A Aphelion/Mjolnir Harassers can just drive in circles around your Prowler and you won't be able to hit it with that 150 m/s starting velocity of the Gatekeeper. It's a bad joke.
Forget about hitting any Aircraft. You should ignore even bigass Galaxies unless they are hovering.
Forget about hitting Infantry. They constantly move and are too small to hit. The best you can do is supress a blob of Infantry at close range with the splash damage. (Which is pretty weak anyway) You won't get any kills though, unless they are total noobs.
The drop on the Gatekeeper is atrocious now. It became a literal Artillery Piece. It's almost as bad as the Bulldog. You have to aim for the sky. This makes it very hard to use with zoom.

I understand that VS/NC hated this weapon with a passion, but let's face it: The people dying to the Gatekeeper were mostly new players who didn't have any situational awareness and just sat there keep taking damage while trying to figure out who was shooting from where. Or they didn't even realize that they were taking damage until their vehicle exploded.
All in all, the Gatekeeper is a junk status weapon like the post nerf Striker, Banshee and Vulcan after the nerf. We can only hope that TR won't have to wait a year or two (again) before DGC understands that there's no reason at all to use it. All TR will be back to the Halberd within a month. Like many times before, the SOE/DGC Nerfhammer just hit it too hard. Community outcry did overshadow stats once more and Devs decided to hush crying children by giving them what they want. It's one of the reasons why DGC will never ever get a single penny from me anymore. People actually buy weapons with real money in this game. (I didn't buy the Gatekeeper for example, but that's unimportant) It really feels like a "bait and switch" when you pay the full price for a Mercedes, then a while later the Dealership comes and replaces it with a Yugo instead.

The gatekeeper was too easy to use while dealing too much damage (30% more dps than a halberd). It had only advantages and no downsides.

However werl is retarded, he could just have lowered the DPS of the weapon by 30% and reduced the magazine size by 10% but instead he decided to make it useless.
