Don't lock onto it and definitely use it's fire breath attack to your advantage to get tons of damage off. If you're not confident in your own skill at the boss fight, only wait for that attack. Otherwise there are plenty of openings you just have to pay more attention to when those are.

Maria, not Maria 0.5. Maria was fun because of her speed, AoE and health. Had she not been so extremely cheeseable she would've been the best boss in the entire game by far. Laurence's difficult because of his extreme health and damage, and the difficulty is what I liked besides his god tier OST. He's the only boss that ever made me use over 50 vials overtime.

And because of that difficulty I like him more than Friede. Maria is obviously better than uber Cleric beast.

The Gravetender wolf on the other hand, looks enjoyable. The speed and damage looks fun to play against, compared to slow attacks and weak AoE.

But what we've been trying to tell you is that "Maria 0.5" is a single phase of a larger boss fight. So it's not exactly unrealistic to expect she would go down quick. That's like saying King of the Storm makes the Nameless King fight disappointing. You're judging the whole fight because the first section (out of 3[?] phases) is not a long drawn out fight.

This is where we differ. I didn't find Laurence enjoyable because his fight itself wasn't interesting at all. And it feels like they knew that, so they upped his HP and damage to compensate for it. It was a chore for me, whereas many of the other boss fights in the DLC were much more interesting (Ludwig especially).

Reviewer here. Heard someone commented about the boss names from my guide, so I want to clear up a few things.

Regarding the fight with Friede, I made a mistake and called him "Father Lloyd" in the guide. I apologize for the name confusion but this occurred because I recently watched a video by Vaati, in which he called him Father Lloyd. During the boss fight he is called "Father Ariandel" but for some reason the name "Father Lloyd" stuck with me due to the video I watched. It's easy to make this mistake if you were in my shoes but I apologize nonetheless for any confusion.
