I have been selling 10k golds worth of farmed vegetables and artisan goods everyday for almost a whole season and I still havn't gone from level 9 to level 10 farming to get the artisan bonus.

Should be capable. All modding entails is changing files. So long as you're running the version that the mod is meant to run on, you should be fine. You should make sure that the mods you want to use are updated to your version, but otherwise it should work the same. You just gotta know where to put the files, is all.

The Wilderness Farm just has weak enemy spawns at night. The base farm can have this feature unlocked after you finish the community center. Because the monsters are so few and weak, the bonus is not worth the loss of land space. It costs a Strange Bun to unlock monster spawns in any map, which is a somewhat uncommon drop from Shadow Brutes in the mines. I used this buff, and I started seeing just as few enemies as the Wilderness farm starts with.

Wilderness Farm is the worst.

The new farms aren't really that good in general.

Riverlands only gives the same fish you can catch in town, aka the least valuable fish. And it has the least amount of farm space for that. It's really not worth the trade-off.

Forest map is only good for the hardwood stumps that spawn daily. but half of the map is covered in grass so you can only build buildings on most of it and not really plant crops.

Hilltop's quarry has pathetically low spawn rates for the different ores that are not worth the limited space. Its nice for rushing copper in the first few days but that's it.

basic farm is the best farm for beginners/mix maxers

the others are for people who want to do gimmick runs/make pretty farms

combat farm is just fucking shit though

Some farms are better for animals than others.
I think the main problem is that "faster growth" doesn't mean anything to a power gamer. Sure it's great for trying to hit some of those 1-2 year landmarks but that's it. If animal perks gave something more concrete like "2 more animals per building" or "unlocks iridium quality" then players would be like WOAH.

How hard would it be to mod/make a mod for a perk set? Like changing it so it would do something else, maybe not drastically or anything like give unlimited x or x. Mainly looking at Rancher and it's sub sets here, the first is alright, but could obviously be better. Maybe something like animals grow to love you faster by a low x%? And for the sub sets, they could be changed to focus either keeping them for their products, and unlocking the iridium quality for them and maybe increase the amount of produce? And the other would focus on breeding the animals and getting their quality up faster so they can be sold off for a lot more profit. Auctioneer or something like that since I think someone else was working on a Butcher mod.
