1 took me a long time because I got stuck on Manus and my +10 bandit's knife wasn't cutting it.

I sailed through the DaS2 dlcs in about 1 hour each. Two for ivory just due to the backtracking.

TOH I took on at level 40 with a +5 kirk and Ludwig took me an entire sitting to beat, but then everything afterwards was easy and the remainder took me another 2 hours, mainly because there was so much great dialogue listen to.

I expect this to be a joke difficulty wise like the second half of TOH. Double bosses stop being hard when you learn how to manage camera control and From sucks at 2hu style designs.

You can punish them with riposites, usually one hit kills, of course. But then invasions are not about fighting your opponent as much as they are about landing a riposite for the kill just like parry fishing in 3.
I'd prefer fights to be about actually fighting the other guy which is why I prefer duels in BB even if I'd rather invade in the other games. When people get low, you just keep waiting for the chance to punish while they want for a chance to heal instead of say DaS fights where getting a heal off is impossible and it's always a fight to the death

BB PvP is a complete disgrace. The damage weapons do when correctly gemmed is obnoxious as hell and made tryhard people settle for healing duels, which means it's a race to get one or two hits in and then punish the heal. The one that lands the heal parry first wins. There's also no way to fight without one person having a stupid health disadvantage. There's also Carthus-tier weapons like the Saif, the Rakuyo, and the Saw Spear. Also Flat Arcane Wheel, which is a nearly unparryable dash attack madness that puts the Gotthards to shame.

BB PvE is great, but the PvP is the worst in the Souls series. It's fun in a mindless way but it's not good at all. The matchmaking is not actually as bad as people say and you can get consistent fights in Mensis and in the FC Chalice Dungeons.

Sounds more like Frieda was doing more Sable Church work and find someone who was able to suppress the fire using his own power and sacrifice. His blood is keeping the fire sated, and the rest of the world frozen. The painting was made to protect the world from fire. Friede's stopping you from letting the fire roam free again. This DLC is basically negating the Lord of Hollows ending in that case.
