So it seems that the latest trend on r/globaloffensive is to make fun of G2 player SmithZz. It feels like whenever I come here there will be posts and videos criticising him and putting him down. And the sad thing is, it's not just a couple of people, but it feels like the majority of the sheep on here are just jumping on the SmithZz hate bandwagon.

This is a guy who is following his passion of playing counter strike professionally, and has dedicated so much time and effort into this and pursuing it as a career, literally all he wants to do is win with his team, and what does he get for it? Every single day he has to deal with so called "fans" criticising his performance and hating on him. Do you not understand the effect that all this bullying would have on a person? Can you imagine the stress and pressure that puts on a guy? No wonder he hasn't been playing his best. He doesn't deserve this hate, no one deserves to be bullied.

For those that think that its just light banter and nothing serious, it's actually gotten to the point where Smithzz felt that he had to make a statement literally defending himself and his position in the team. So yes he's well aware of this criticism against him in the community.

Furthermore, I'd just like to add that it's not just the people making the posts, but also the people upvoting these posts and videos literally putting him down that are the ones that are supporting this bullying behaviour which is just unacceptable.

The r8 shouldn't be in the game in the first place. By design the gun is either going to be overpowered, or redundant because of the deagle.

Honestly, the whole r8 debacle and generally the addition of new weapons in CSGO has got me thinking real long and hard about the gun selection in the game. It might not be a popular opinion but frankly I believe the inventory in CSGO is bloated and would really benefit from the removal of many weapons, and then rework and streamline remaining guns.

Call me controversial, but I'd just straight up remove useless meme guns like the bizon, dualies, the lmgs, and r8. Go even further and combine weapons with similar or niche roles into a single more useful gun. P250, 57, tec9, cz could all be combined into one or two short range eco pistol. Similarly we don't need so many scoped rifles. Keep a scout rifle and the awp, combine the auto and cod guns into a semi auto battle rifle with a crosshair.

Less is more.

I think part of the game is to discover and use guns you find enjoyable. I have this friend (we're both LE) who really enjoys the bizon. He uses it a lot, mostly on eco rounds, where he rushes to get info and to surprise. Don't get me wrong, but he found a cool use for it, and directly benefits from it. Gun variety is, in my opinion, good, and most of them do have niche uses or even based on individual taste. I like the MP7 better than the UMP, for another example.
