if you step on the switches they open momentarily before closing. You have to shoot the containers inside while they're open. Punch through weapons used to work, through the shell, don't think they do anymore

The underside of the two orbs open when you step on the plate in the middle of the room. They're only open for about 5 seconds before they close.
Sometimes only one opens, sometimes both, but if you're solo you probably won't have time to shoot all the containers in both.

The secret sleek is to use a weapon or power with an AOE that penetrates walls and destroy the crates, then have your sentinel equipped with vacuum hoover up everything. You never need to actually activate the plate to open them unless an Ayatan star drops inside.

You don't need to get on top of them either. Stand on the bridges and bullet jump upwards at them.

You can get most secret containers in the Void this way. AOE penetrates through the wall, sentinel vacuums it up. You never need to find and activate switches.

I've already forma'd my Tonkor twice, are there any weapons that benefit disproportionately from a forma? Current fallback plan is slap a V polarity on something and stick a multishot or straight damage that's maxed on it.

thought it was dogshit because of the charge time and not being able to hold it + warframe builder stats

then looked at it closer and threw a few forma on it for the sake of theorycrafting. That fuckhueg base charge damage means that with vile acceleration a 50% is a little over half a second and still does an average of 15k per shot when you factor crits. Swap out Shred for Heavy Cal and you're looking at closer 22-25k.

desu I doubt DE has any idea what they're doing wrt numbers and balance, but that weapon is decent when you throw out conventional wisdom that applies to other charged weapons. The forced delay between shots and inability to hold charge means it has a bit of a learning curve for not much return, but it's a decent sidegrade to bows/lanka

which means slow output and lack of reasonable AoE makes it shit compared to other upper tier weapons that put out similar burst numbers, especially since it punishes bad aim, and the fact that it's garbage til you throw on a minimum of 2-3 forma means it'll never be anything close to meta

Actually it has pretty good AoE when you throw on Firestorm...

Then again, I agree that it's not the best gun in the game. I'd say it's either the best medicore weapon... Or one of the worst out of the upper-tier weapons. But I love using it too much to switch out. Much like my Zephyr- It's too fun to float around to switch to my Frost or Nova or whatever.

Why does DE allow so many frames to be completely outshined in all respects by a handful of other frames? You'd think with as many skillsets as they have, they'd try to keep more than 5 or 6 from being complete dogshit. Augment mods treat the symptom not the disease. I could almost understand this issue in regards to weapons given not every rifle or bow is meant to be on the same level, but guns are just a numbers game. For 3 years or more now a single primary or secondary has rendered all others obsolete for several months at a time if not a year, until a new hotness comes out that rips slightly more assholes than the previous. Why are easymode versions of guns better than more difficult to use counterparts? Why are their creative or interesting guns left to rot as fodder?

I pop into the general every couple months to see if DE got their act together and it's worth playing again, but it never is. They repeat the same mistakes over and over every update while taking progressively more and more time to actually release one. Hope you guys enjoy lacrosse in space.

It has an IPS damage on impact, which gives you the electric on it.
It has a toxic aoe effect on hit, which gives you the corrosive.

Really it's just there are two parts of the damage. Tonkor has a little impact damage, for example.

the current state of the game is such that the level of difficulty has been lowered to the point that optimizing and minmaxing is completely unnecessary. Yeah, if you like jerking it to big numbers then some frames will need multiple forma, but there's literally no content in the game that requires it. As long as you aren't a complete shitter, that 2 forma Chroma is going to perform just as well as that 6 forma 99% DR Chroma.

It would be a lot of fun if there was like, hell, a 'void gate' tile in the Dojo.

You first craft a Void Key- one that lets you customize a mission, gaining bonus resources if you increase difficulty, and the different modifiers you add cost various resources. More for a larger clan, like all dojo upgrades. Once complete, you put it into the Gate, and from then on anybody in your clan can do that mission.

Then again, I want a lot of dojo things. A landing bay for people's Orbiters, an Arsenal, an actual treasury where members can donate supplies and resources instead of having to do it on a case-by-case basis. Catwalk 'decorations' so you can build a fort in your Great Hall, that kind of thing.

Even if my Dojo is just me and a handful of folks who haven't played Warframe in the past 200-400 days

Literally no infrmation is readily avaliable, and most just flat out missing. Anything you do, you have to do it by jumping through hoops. Wasted space... wasted space EVERYWHERE.

-you want to know which planet you can farm orokin cells? you have to manually check each planet. just by hovering over it? no, you have to enter it. But by then you can surely see it right? No fuckface, you have to hover over a tiny ass extractor icon in the bottom left for Each. Fucking. Planet.
-You want to switch the syndicate you want to support for the rest of your day? Have fun going to armory-frame-apparance-back slot-find the tatoo you want form 70 when it only shows 9-apply-esc-esc-esc-esc. for Every. Frame. You want tgo use for the day, then again for the next to swithc back to teh other.
-Want to buy the blueprints for weapons you havent maxed yet? Have fun crossrefencing the market and codex, having to go in, then out 3-4 layers deep for both, for each check.
-Want to know how many forma/other blueprints you have? Check the foundry right? NO, dig 3 layes deep (and back) and find it burried in hundreds of other shit when it displays 12 of them at a time.
-Want to know how many mats you have? sigh- go into the inventory ritght? becase it should at least be near the blueprints. No faggot, its in a tiny button at the bottom of the foundry.
