I have an issue with every skill not part of a combo in this game specifically, when every job that isn't a caster is fundamentally combo-based. Using a skill that breaks combo as well as incurs the GCD seems to break the momentum/"flow" or a job's particular rotation.

Same thing with Oaths for PLD. It just feels like an abrupt halt in tempo/pace.

What will likely happen instead of a complete removal is that Fracture will be baked into the rotation like every other melee with a DoT.

the game engine is not conducive for player vs. player. it's slow as molasses with horseshit like animation lock and 2.5s GCD in a mode that is supposed to move quickly.

the modes are sprawling dung piles with jumbled gimmicks tossed in to warrant something "new" to churn out. the only good mode is Wolves Den, being the most balanced and least contrived.

the ability sets they promised in 2.0 when this system was revealed weren't even given to us and instead we got a few side abilities that only work in PvP, while PvE sets retain their function in PvP. so what you get is garbage that has zero function in PvP areas.

it is tacked on. to say anything good about it is the real joke. it's not fine and you shouldn't support their ham-handed implementation of it.

No. As an AST you can use Essential Dignity on the tank in Cleric and it'll pretty much heal them, and a Scholar doesn't need to cast a heal until I guess Brayflox or Haukke if the tank is undergeared.

PvP in this game textbook tacked-on.
The base game wasn't designed around it ever being a thing, as a result it's not balanced at all.
They tried to balance it out by giving jobs PvP-specific actions and changing what some actions do only when in PvP, needless to say it's still imbalanced as fuck.

That's not to say that you can't have fun with it, but it's broken to a point where some jobs are straight up worthless in PvP.
In most games the state of FFXIV's PvP would be considered unplayable, this game gets a pass because most of the playerbase doesn't even know it exists.
Why they're bringing attention to it in their big con is beyond me.

Nobody does past 30 because the tanks have more tools to hold aggro and are expected to unless they're very undergeared compared to the DPS.
The only times an experienced tank might lose aggro is when they're with something like a good BLM and MNK.

It works in 2-4 player coop games but in an MMO where conversation could happen when you least expect it it'd be nice to have some kind of prompt to show me when a character is trying to talk.
Hell, half the time I can't even see when people are trying to talk to me out of the blue in the world because I'm too focused on the game.
