I think doomposting damaged this game a lot early on but it's fun and fine. PvP sucks though I don't know why people make such a big deal about it, it's clear a lot of the design choices are based around PvP but ultimately it's dominated by a handful of classes currently. Hopefully r8 allows for some more leniency with builds as well, if you don't have one of the dominant PvP builds or an ET desired PvE build it's hard to be motivated to play since you're limited to smacking brainless, non-damaging mobs once you've got good gear.

I have a bad habit of playing multiple games at a time. Mostly have Tree of Savior open on one monitor and do something on another like play Mabinogi. (by which I mean do whatever event and then dress up my character, although I have more fun dressing up than playing ToS)

I'm also working on a game of Sword of the Stars 1 singleplayer and going through Succubus Hunter.

Even with all that, I barely do anything, watch anime, or even actually play the games. I'm too addicted to endless/match based games to play a large backlog of games with actual endings.

But then I play MMORPGs to have fun killing things, exploring, crafting things, dressing up, and hanging out in cool areas. ToS isn't really hitting the mark with much of that honestly. To answer the obvious question, I'm working on doing as much adventure journal stuff as I can without being some sort of RMTer hacker who can +20 every item in the game for crazy points.

Reminder that the new exp levels and penalties to damage will open grind spots 20 levels earlier. Basically being 20 levels lower than the grind area means you can already go there.

I play Tree of Clerics, I don't care about whatever DD is on top.

My problem is entirely the fact that swordies feel entitled to have 2-3 characters on their asses just so they could deal slightly more damage than the average fletcher and not die, while neither wizzes nor archers didn't demand or whine for more than half the party to be dedicated to them because they're such great DDs.

Yet here, swordies aren't even a thing in iToS yet and they're already annoying everyone, including other swordies that aren't doppels.

Did they change how Critical Attack works or is it just damage added to the end of the calculations (much like blessing) that bypasses defense?

People rave about Highlanders 50% more critical attack but is it really that important since it makes 400 crit attack go up to 600 which is just a FLAT 600 added to already crazy 80k criticals?

I know there's Cartar, Wagon and all that but just seems worse than say 18% dodge and taunt. It feels like going one rank in Highlander is not that big of a deal at all but there isn't much else other than Sword 2 for Restrain or Peltasta for taunt. Just my 50 cents.

You probably fell for some old beta misinformation, I have no idea how there are people who unironically believe that up to this date, when the damage formula has been out for months

To answer your question, it gets modified by any multiplier you can have(Cleave, Zwerchhau, enhance, whatnot, deeds only multiplies your patk and transcendence only affects your weapon), think of the attribute as a boost to elemental damage that scales with str, gems and all other sources, but only works when you crit.

I just love how the other guy keeps saying >Zweihänder in caps as a way to diss metafag doppels when I've probably been the only one saying it for months and I have one of the most questionable doppel builds out there, I just play the class for fun and role-playing is part of it

I'd say Barb3 has an edge if only for this Warcry change. High3 is still really solid, Skull Swing is a great skill when pdef can be as high as 1700 from what I've seen, no mention to Vertical Slash changes. Honestly, I'd just pick whatever you like the most

Hell, I've seen videos of Koreans running barb2high2 and doing really well, all those buffs/debuffs makes Skyliner hit considerably high on bleeding targets (120k per hit)

Turns out rank 8 Wizards suck because there is a ton of Enchanter and Sage skills in the game but not enabled!

There is "Enchanted Powder", "Enchantment" (weapon), "Reward", "Maze" and "Warp to Friend". 3 spells missing for Enchanter, 2 for Sage.
