Lorewise, it's pretty much just as bad as 4. While it does have the dark humor which 4 lacked, it's still an incoherent clusterfuck that answers none of the questions it asks while cluttering the things that were already known in the first place.

It would be a great... tutorial to a full game. Seriously, we go through like three nights to introduce mechanics, we have some great setpieces and minigames, my dick was fully deployed for a long, hard game with tons of content and then BAM its ogre. Then even the secret ending was a joke set at the le joke interlude TV show.

The lore started off promising too, a whole new setting to explore(which didnt happen) a new nigthguard to know(which didnt happen) the bots finally talk but its completely pointless, the storyline about finding your daugther or some shit was completely dropped etc. Its just a confusing mess, FNAF is literally the Lost of vidya now. I fully expect Scott to reboot it or mumble something about every game being a separate canon or some shit.

It was the worst kind of tease, getting your hopes up and just dashing it for no reason at all.

This is my biggest complaint with Sister Location.
I don't hate what we have, but it feels like a sampler or demo that was sold at retail price.

The lore's fucky but that's nothing new. The story's disappointing but that's nothing new. I liked the voice acting and character approach and I don't even mind it as a soft reboot of the series.

Here's my theory: Fredbear's Diner and the facilities in SL exist as a way to perform unethical psychological experiments on children. Either do to horror science or ghost magic the animatronics become sapient and don't want to kill kids, but they are forced to by something buried deep in their programming. At the end of SL Ennard scoops Egg and rather than killing him enters his body and adds him to the collective.
