The game is pretty simple, it's not massively deep but there is emergent gameplay. You can play matchmaker in that you influence how characters develop relationships, but you have no Godlike powers over them unless you cheat.

It's probably not comparable to something like Persona. I've never played that game but I can't imagine a h-game from the likes of Illusion can compare.
Character editor is great, though. It's more than half of the fun. Creating your own characters and affecting how they behave, etc.

From how it's been explained to me it doesn't matter, as long as the folder containing all your stuff goes in /data/texture/override.
I would recommend that it be /data/texture/override/[character], with maybe that last bit having some kind of qualifier like a datestamp to prevent future accidental use of the same name.

My concern is if two cards use altered textures that have the same name but ARE different.
If every AAU maker does a good job of renaming their files to a point that duplicate filenames never exist then that'll be great, but if we start having two AAU cards using "dracoface" for a file and the files are not for the same Draco, we will have problems.

As for multiple cards using the same resource intentionally, isn't that no problem as long as people extract their downloaded AAU cards correctly and set up their folders as instructed?

Let's say a butt size comes from "Kasumi." The Kasumi folder will contain her butt size in the original card release.
"Ayane" comes along from a different card maker, but it uses the same butt as Kasumi. As long as Ayane is released with Kasumi's butt in a folder structure shared with Kasumi's, there shouldn't be a problem. Ayane might have to come with 2 subfolders, but when the files are added to the texture folder the like-files will not use any more space.

I still have it on this laptop and it runs very well. The new one could probably run it a lot better if it would fucking work.

Had a dream that I was playing Artificial Academy 3 so thought I'd share it.

The game was a huge gothic academy building and the city around it. Multiple floors and rooms. Multiple classes are a thing, as well as seniority (freshmen, etc),. Clubs gave bonuses for doing well, and boost to relationship with clubmembers. An example of bonuses are the ability to cultivate roses in the gardening club. Character creator also let you create family. You could create parents and generate student based on genetics. You can also generate a student based on 2 cards you have. NPCs also exist in the form of townspeople, which while not playable, can still be interacted with. You can also choose to generate them or create them yourself.

Invetory system existed. Items can be traded/stolen/given and give boost to relationship. Depending on item, they can be activated like a cellphone to text a friend. Character customization is huge. 30 personality types total not including DLC. Personality types were unisex, so a guy or a girl could both be "playful." Each one has a male and female voice actor. Better control over tone and pitch of voices. Personalities had unique voice lines depending speaker's gender, enough to still fit the archetype but not sound the same. Option exists to give a guy the female voice lines and vice-versa. So many traits, with the option to allow traits to behave differently based on what it's grouped with. Some even influence voice lines.

Traits more streamlined. Example: chatty no longer increased the rate of spreading rumours because rumourmonger did that now. There were a shit-ton of traits and new traits to compensate. Game had tool-tip/showed what each one did so you could fine-tune behavior.

Character moods was an established mechanic, and is actually tracked/easier to affect. It didn't get in the way of the game, but added more depth to it. The new system could be toggled off.

H-scenes can now include up to 3 participants, and gay h exists. PCs have the follow and masturbate actions available, and can move around freely on the screen. There were dominant, neutral, and submissive versions of sexual positions. On top of sexual preferences, there were traits based solely on H, allowing for the distinction of "likes to be on top" to actual femdom, fetishes and so on. It is possible to allow partner to control the h scene, but based on traits they may ask you to do it instead, or attempt to give you no control over it.

Multiple teachers, a principal, class presidents and club leaders. There was an inbuilt character database where users can share creations or classes. You could do this all from the in-game menu, even see and download mods that are required. All while never leaving the game. You could add or remove students on the fly. Lots of clothing options. Clothing can also become dirty, ripped, bloodied, etc.

Fighting is no longer rock, paper, scissors. The new one can be described as simple and much, much better. You could also do things like sucker punch people who are walking/talking, have multi-man melees, and use weapons. It's possible to have group conversations, or join/leave one that is currently in progress.

They had an in-built personality creator, where you could upload your own audio lines, or use this vocaloid program they had included.

Also, the game came in different translations that you could switch to. All the voice lines are in japanese, but if you want the game could be in english, spanish, etc. Of special note, game came with it's own "scenarios." Scenarios basically allow for scripted events or dialogue to occur, allowing the game to play like a visual novel or adding random/special events to the school. Players could also create their own scenarios and share them, allowing for recreation of animes and VNs, or create their own stories/game modes

So what do I do with the dll file if I'm having FPS issues with windows 10 after the update? I read around and it seems I'm meant to put it in my play folder, but that means replacing the current dll file for the translation. It says I have the 1.01 overlay, so I don't need to update. I tried renaming it _alt, but it still causes the game to crash. Any other options, or did Windows 10 anniversary update JUST me?
