I was thinking maybe if there was a way for Makoto or somebody else to convince Yamada to have second thoughts about getting Alter Ego back, or how he should go about things so that he won't take it too far. He would still do Celes's plan and hit Ishimaru, but not enough to kill him. As he's bringing him over to the repository, Yamada would ask Celes about what she would do afterward since she never did tell him; Celes would dodge the questions the more Yamada tries to get more out of her, and it's at this point that Yamada figures out what Celes's plan really is. They eventually get into a fight, which leads to Celes getting killed by the Justice hammers and Yamada being hurt, but would eventually have enough strength to get up unlock the repository door.

It's at this point that Ishimaru would wake up from being unconscious, and everybody would be freaking out about how him and Yamada came back to life as well as Celes being killed as well. The trail changes with Yamada being the culprit having done terrible deeds, despite his good intentions, instead of the purely selfish motivations that Celes had. Also we can have Ishimaru turning back into Ishida when he sees Mondo's crossed out portrait, reminding him about all of his effort and how he couldn't save him.

There, now chapter 3 doesn't completely suck, doesn't kill 3 characters at the same time, the culprit isn't incredibly obvious, and Ishimaru can still go through his character development.

A Ch 3 that involves mostly Yamada and Celes where one kills the other without any other victims makes more sense, they interacted a lot more after all, Ishida seemed picked almost randomly, after all Celes could make up a lie about anyone and Yamada would believe it as long as it involved Alter Ego. For all we know, Celes could've told him that Makoto tried to rape her. That would be interesting.

Your version of Ch 3 is a huge improvement... Unfortunately, in DR good dangans are the targets. The better a character is, the more likely he/she is to be killed.

Still, Taka could've been a fan favorite for the entire franchise if he had stayed alive, such wasted potential...

So I'm going to start a discussion on so my name and avatarfagging has a chance to be excused should Hagakure have died in Ishimaru's place? It would have been better writing to have kept him as a survivor definitely. Especially him and Aoi being able to relate because they both lost someone close to them. But should have the Weedman have survived or should Kiyotaka taken his placce especially since Hagakure was useless throughout the games and he could have easily been replaced with Ishimaru. Ishimaru losing Mondo was like Kuzu losing Peko. Hagakure contributed nothing even into the finale of DR3. Ishimaru trying to find balance in a world of despair despite his devotion to order and law would have been way more interesting.

I only like to use Hagakure as a scapegoat because of how useless Hagakure's character really is. He literally does not do anything meaningful to contribute to the plot in any way. He's just there to spout useless and dumb phrases and take up everybody's time during the trails. And in the end the only time he tries to be useful was during Chapter 3, and celes said outright that he was only used because of how much of an idiot he was. If his character had something that redeemed him, I wouldn't be so mad at him surviving.

Another thing you can do is substitute Ishimaru for Togami. This way Togami doesn't get away with all of this prattling, and Toko can have some character development too, as she does nothing to the plot after revealing she's Genocider Syo.

You can probably substitute Kanon with Ishimaru's dad as it would be nice to see how they would interact, but I think rewriting AE as a whole so that the characters that had some connection to the DR1 characters actually had more to do in the plot instead of only being mentioned and never getting to see them would be better.

And I tried Ace Attorney, I sucked at it. It was the kind of game where I figured out things the main character missed, but missed on things he caught on.
I remember one thing, the story where a crippled dude throw a bust at the circus' director to kill him. I quickly figured what was used. Meanwhile, in the later case where there's the channeling ceremony, I missed most of the clues.

I'm just bad at understanding the someone else's logic and usually just follow my own.
I'm getting better though. If it wasn't for that fucking handbook in the sauna during the small comic rehearsal, I wouldn't have gotten a game over.

As for DR2, you could also sacrifice either Souda or Akane, as another Anon said.
Souda might contrive to kill himself, after Sonia rejects him in the worst way by literally cucking him with Gundham, right in front of him.
Akane might be killed by whoever, and when Nidai comes back as a robot, and finds out him taking the rocket to the chest was all for nothing, he'll strive to continue for her sake or just fall into Despair, and he'll be the one to challenge Tanaka to the duel in Chapter 4 instead.

First action for Project BIBL is this.

This is the beast we need to conquer first.

We need to figure out specifically about how the murder is carried out, what evidence would change and how it will carry out in the trial.
And not just Ishimaru too but everyone else would have to have a change in dialogue to reflect this.

For example instead of them crying over Ishimaru's death, they'd be talking about Yamada's death mostly and we would need to fill the empty holes.

So we are now in brainstorm mode. Once we have about proper idea, we can note this down and we can start editing the scripts for chapter 3. Well start from there.

He would still have problems with dealing with Mondo's death. I think at some point we are going to have to change his behavior and realize tha he can move on from his Ishida phase. When the Sakura revelation happens, he's goint to of course be distraught, especially with having another one of his classmates "betray" him. I still think he will have some animosity, but not to the extent that Togami/Fukawa/Hagakure had, and would sympathize with Aoi's plight. He would most likely want to be left alone since he still thinks of himself as a failure and decide not to lead or help anyone in anyway since he did a terrible job as a leader, so he tries (desperately) to ignore the chaos that was going on.

When the trial ends and Aoi reveals why she tried to kill everyone and why Sakura wanted to sacrafice herself, it would ignite himself about how important his leadership qualities are and how much it is necessary for someone to lead them so that the dissent and distrust in each other doesn't happen again.

Yes, I meant Fire Emblem general. DR hasn't got a constant stream unlike FE, however. FE is mainstream and the content is more present than anything DR. I was surprised to find this alive though. You'd expect it to die after all this time, but I was wrong. I do wonder what caused all the autistic namefagging and identification issues people seem to have. The avafagging and such is somewhat disturbing and I can't remember seeing this before.

I think it overbloats the case. There is already the stuff with Celes and Yamada to figure out, no need to add amnesia into the mix. I still say that adding Ishida back during the trial would be better, and he would need his memory for that to work. Him not knowing who it was that hit him can play into the misplaced justice hammers confusion.

I forgot about the pickaxe! Yes, now I think Ishimaru would have a healthy and actual tangible thing to connect himself and Mondo with, instead of clinging to something that isn't actually him with Alter Ego, and I think that would play into him getting over his death and how he doesn't need to have Alter Ego (since it would have been destroyed at that point, and how that would affect him would need to be addressed to) or the pick axe either to remember him by.
