Oh my God. Max's face is absolutely adorable there!
Waking up and seeing the girl you love, calm, not worrying about anything, and hopefully in a nice dream. How nice. I wish they went back to Chloe's house after the storm to at least see how it was and wait for Joyce and David, but I understand that Chloe thought Max should be with her parents and away from that area.

Headcanon #1025 established: Max gets Chloe into diarykeeping. Sometimes they read them to each other.

That said, it's only rare times that their entries are particularly long. Most of the stuff they work through they do together.

Well if you want to go more in depth. I think they would keep their diaries private even from each other, unless there was something specific they wanted to show. We know what's in Max's, Chloe's would probably be a lot more emotional.
At first she just writes a few words and doesn't really understand. She uses it more as a sketchbook. Until she really starts to open up to herself and put her thoughts and emotions onto the pages. Some pages tear-stained when she's writing about her father or about Rachel, even years after those are still going to hurt her and always will But other entries about happier and more recent experiences have little notes and doodles.

For shared memories her and Max want to remember they will have plenty of scrapbooks they make and write notes on or writing on the border/backs of the images they're putting in the albums.

Max is a cute, kind, and awesome girl and she deserves nothing but happiness. Same for Chloe.
They will move on from their pasts mistakes and the from storm and have a hella great future together and with support from their friends and family.

Sounds right, I can see it. First she'd be all punk and reluctant to really "Talk to a book? You're such a nerd, Max." and just do sketches, put band stickers and lyrics in it, a few lines filled with short ideas at best. But at some point it'd break through to her and pages could fill.

And naturally they would not keep the diaries open to the other, or read everything to each other. And there's always stuff you keep to yourself. But there's not much I can't see them be able and comfortable to go through with and open up about to the other. William and Rachel for example would definitely be stuff they'd talk about, which would obviously get Chloe's emotions going. I mean, we know she did at least some writing (scribbles), but it took Max for her to really open up and confront her own emotional issues - both sides of the spectrum - and work through them, get catharsis.

And then diary-keeping is of course not only about dealing with emotions or private stuff in general, but also about just the ritualistic quality of it, the meditative writing down of thoughts. Psychologically meditative, but also physically; concentrating on thinking, formulating and the mechanics of writing, the breathing and posture going automatic, calming down physiologically. A lot of that they'd also have from just talking to each other before sleeping, but it's still unique. And obviously opens the opportunity of going back in time so to speak - re-visiting a specific days' experiences or the thoughts attached to them. Together with Max's photos, it must be quite something to go through when their old.

With Max's power they may even be able to experience some moment again. But because of Max's passion for capturing things, they will have tons of documented moments and thoughts they can look back on or even show others if they wanted.
Maybe one of Max's gallery exhibits will be purely about Chloe. Various photos of her, excerpts from Max's diary about her, etc. A journey of a small town girl living in a lonely world (=kek), to showing her truly happy and exploring the country/world.

I'd say I can see how Chloe would be a bit shy about it in an "All of this for lame ol' me?" sense, but then Max has done far greater things for her, and with time they'd have both realized how awesome they are - respectively and obviously all the more so as a team. So no shyness or modesty - Chloe would be hella smug and sly about it all. Maybe Max would give her a pat on the butt everytime she compliments herself too much though.

It might seem excessive, but Chloe is one of Max's biggest inspirations and motivators. So it makes sense that Max dedicates something to her. To show the world HER Chloe.
The two of them would be adorable at galleries, standing together, Chloe's arm around Max's waist while Max answers questions and discusses her work. Chloe sneaking kisses from Max and occasionally walking off to come back with drinks/snacks for them. I'm sure the critics and gallery guests would love it.
Chloe would also obviously do stuff for Max but it may not be as public or seen as an art exhibit.

Yeah, Jeffershit's stuff is not going to stay up. Everything with him is why I think Max will return to Arcadia Bay sooner rather than later, she will want to help her friends through all that. She will also get to see Joyce, David, and take tons of amazing photos of people helping each other. Plus her and Chloe will want to be around for Rachel's funeral and may be able to offer information to help get Jefferson put away for good.
But on the topic of the photos: that's a good idea to put up student stuff instead. Although I'm not sure Nathan's would go up since his stuff was morbid and he will either be dead or also facing trial (Depending on whatever you believe his fate was).

If Cartoon Network made an adaption of LiS would you keep some of the same voice actors or recast some? I'd defiantly recast Jefferson and Nathan.

I'd keep the same VAs, I think they all did a great job and cannot think of a character that I thought had a bad voice.

If I had to pick a VA for Rachel though, I would pick Ashley Johnson. She did the voice for Terra in the Teen Titans cartoon and I think it would be fitting.
In some ways Rachel reminds me of the cartoon Terra: A girl that knows how to have fun, party, and genuinely does love her friends, but has dark secrets. Someone who lied to their friends, went with the villain to achieve their own goals, gets into too deep to back out, and only makes up for wrongdoings in in their final moments before death. Or in Rachel's case, after death.

Take page from Back to the Future. Max goes back to a point before saving Chloe (Any time and any photo she has will do), writes a letter to Chloe talking about how she's going to die in her meeting with Nathan, then requests that it be delivered the day before Chloe is shot. Chloe gets the letter and shows up to meet Nathan, but is wearing a bullet proof vest so she survives the shot. Nathan gets arrested and Chloe lives to reunite with Max.
I know it would have probably been terrible in the game itself but it was a fun thought.

I actually wouldn't have minded if the ending borrowed from how Futurama ended.

Max tries to stop the storm and ends up freezing for everyone but herself and Chloe, she cannot unfreeze it, they go around the paused world and live life, go wherever they want, growing old together.
But I'm going to end things a little differently and sadder and say that right before their deaths they return to Arcadia Bay to leave their marks one last time on the tree stump by the lighthouse. Chloe dies before Max, Max uses her remaining time to see a few more places before she goes somewhere comforting and secluded. Max dies peacefully and the power is deactivated for good, time resumes and the storm immediately disappears.
The game ends showing their family and friends putting up missing posters next to the ones that already exist for Rachel. Nobody knows the truth but Max and Chloe are totally fine and got what they wanted; a life of adventure and love together.

The way I see it, she can use it however she wants. As long as it's rewinding something as soon as it's happened (Either something huge saving someone's life or something tiny like spilling a drink) or if she goes into a photo to just relive *but not change* a moment.
The only time she ever got into trouble with the power was when she was going into the distant past and changing things, which resulted in a new chain of events that culminate in some pretty differences.
But I don't think she would try using her power again for a while. For entirely understandable reasons.

on a related note, did anyone else think the dialogue was very forced and insincere-sounding at times, e.g. "I just worked SO hard on this shot, and I'm sure you know what it's like to be consumed by your work." if not for the voiceover, I'd have thought those lines were sarcastic and cynical.

Most of the general became aware that Jefferson was about 95% sure to be either the villain or one of the villains when the leaks came out. Originally there was meant to be a choice to either kill Jefferson or call the police in Episode 4 which was pretty damning evidence. Obviously there'd be no reason for that choice to exist if Jefferson was just a nice teacher. Well we already had leaks for the dark room, it's more likely that episode 4 originally ended with something like Chloe driving off to the junkyard on her own, leaving Max to catch a ride with Jefferson. But they probably changed it because it was ridiculously suspicious for Jefferson to drive Max there and not insist they call the police, thus ruining the 'shocking twist' at the end.

It all started today, three years ago:

Chloe went to sleep last night; thoughts of finding Rachel and leaving Arcadia Bay, thoughts of how much better things would be if her father were there, thoughts of her "best" friend that is back in Arcadia Bay and doesn't even want to contact her, thoughts wishing for a better future. Also in Chloe's mind is her to plan achieve that future. To get back at that arrogant rich kid that drugged her and to make him pay, all it will take is some threats and a little shake down in the school's bathroom.
Chloe woke up this morning to the last day of her life. And the first day of her new one.

Just across the town is Max, going to sleep last night with worry that her photo entry is not even close to good enough for the contest she wants to enter. She wakes up this morning and heads to her photography class, unmotivated, nervous, and longing to go back to a simpler past. These thoughts may be what push her to ignore the lecture being given (And to ignore her classmates picking on one of her few friends in the school) and nod off for a few minutes.
An unsettling dream of a storm forces her awake just as the class is coming to an end. Max decides to go splash some water on her face and have a few minutes alone.

With two trips to the school bathroom for two very different reasons, a collision course it set, and the tale begins...

I can. The past is better because you know what happened. You can look even further back before a moment that happened, to see why that moment happened in the first place.
There is no such luxury with the future. The most you can do is try to recognize signs that appeared in the past and wonder if they're indicators of what is possibly to come. But in the end, it's all unknown and that is a frightening thought to some.
It's also a double-edged sword because sometimes looking back into the past just shows how stupid something really was. How a tragedy could have been easily averted, but wasn't.

Probably not. I can't think of any real Easter Eggs or things that were hidden. Apparently you can see Chloe outside the window of the classroom in Episode 1.
You could try to make different choices, rewind conversations to try to get more options, check the diary more often in case you missed stuff. But I don't think anyone here is someone who just played through the game quickly.

Poor Chloe wants things to go smoothly. But whenever Max shows initiative like that, Chloe just get stunned momentarily until she regains herself. That's why I want them dubbed or to play their characters. A massive part of Max and Chloe are their voices, there are no substitutes for those. I doubt there's anyone else who would be able to do their voices justice.
So get Hannah and Ashly involved in some way, use audio from the game, or do not make the series about Max and Chloe and just give them a non-speaking appearance.

if the storm was caused by Chloe being alive then the vision would have Chloe with her at the start however she's alone indicating that the storm was due friday no matter what.

As you wake from your nap you find Chloe about a inch from your face, staring straight at you. You definitely did not almost jump out of the bed in surprise because of it. Play it cool, Max.

A look around the room reveals that it's 8 PM. Just as you lament not eating earlier, you notice Chloe saved you a plate from dinner, and also put a blanket over you while you were asleep. She'd never admit it, but Chloe definitely inherited her mom's maternal instincts.

You grab the plate of food and eat ravenously. Canned beans and chips, not much, but the best that can be managed without power or water. But with Joyce's cooking skills, even beans taste fantastic. Hopefully Chloe picked inherited some of that too. Someone's gotta be the woman in this relationship, and you're an awful cook.

Really digging the Christmas theme going on, even if it's a few months early. I'll have to go back and read it in December. Max and Chloe getting bears, and inflicting pain on each other with static electricity. As well as just a hint of lewdness at the end.
I like how Ryan and Vanessa react to Max and Chloe, one of my biggest wishes about the game's ending was actually getting to meet Max's parents. That and seeing Chloe apologize to Joyce and David and build better relationships with them.
So it's good to see that stuff in some form. Not enough fics do it.

Just recently played this game.

AMAZING! I can't stop thinking about it.

I actively tried to make Max and Chloe be a couple, but I made the mistake of not backing Chloe on enough decisions during the game so I didn't get the kiss at the end when I sacrificed Chloe.

Agree. A year later and there's still thousands holding on, hundreds creating content. The free EP1 has also helped, but there's a solid core community (some of them here) that I can't see letting go anytime soon.

To be fair I didn't side with Chloe 100% of the time. If she crossed a line, I didn't lie to her to make her feel good or blindly go with her. I wanted Max and her to both grow and be together so I didn't let Chloe get away with her 'woe is me' bullshit. It wouldn't have been respecting her. Like when she tried blaming William for dying and Max for leaving. She had to be called out on that and when she was, she apologized.

She did it a few times:
Trying to keep Max from answering a simple phonecall from Kate and acting like it was a betrayal.
Saying in the truck that it was William's fault her life was shit, and that Max didn't care about her. Max tells her to take it back and Chloe does.
Trying to kill Nathan after Max told her it won't work (To be fair this is a mandatory segment)

It was only a few times where I really thought Chloe was being entirely unreasonable. And in all those cases she did something to make up for it, like apologizing or bringing Max to see Kate and have some time alone to talk.
Chloe grew up a massive amount during the week and a lot of it is because Max was entirely honest with her.
