PS4 gen, help.

I turned on my ps4 after months of not connecting it or turning it on (due to moving in to different places), when I turned it on, suddenly it shows that I dont have enough space in memory, and all the games that I've played shows as their original sizes, and overbloated at that.

For example, GTA V, I have it on disc and I only have save games, suddenly, it shows that I have 56gb worth of content of that game, even though I have it physical.

This is the same for every single game I have, I only have physical, but the space they're taking is as if I had them digital.

Any idea what is going on?

that's not a benefit. With the size of games nowadays not having an install leads to fucking horrific load times in games. Even in the early days of PS3 before installs were more common, the bigger games had pretty fucking bad load time issues.

Let me put it this way, imagine those 4.7gb ps2 games load times, times 10. that's what it would be. it would be very bad, very segmented loading to be even remotely playable. Installing the entire disc's contents to the hdd is a far more preferable solution. Physical purchases mean nothing anymore because of the size of games. Having a disc so you can play anywhere is nice, yeah, but that's about as far as it goes. The older benefits of not needing to install, not needing to install tons of patches, and not having to wait on a server no longer apply. Every single game has a fucking day 1 patch nowadays to fix massive, crippling, critical bugs that can crash the game or damage the system it's being played on so god fucking help you if you don't install it.

I don't have a camera. Why would I have a camera? They were useless from day 1. move I only got because they were quite literally $10 on sale a piece at a local best buy trying to get rid of them.

Still, camera by itself is almost $50 still in most places, so why not just get the bundle and get some extra move sticks, and worlds? It'd add up to about $500 anyway.

VR is not 4K, Pro and VR, as much as people like to believe otherwise, are two different platforms right now, all the PSVR titles are for standard PS4 and tech is emergent, Sony can't risk segregating the audience on it.

PSVR2 or whatever will probably support HDR but even then, I serously doubt it'll matter, since there's no chance in hell we're anywhere near 4k VR being plausible for an average user.

It's your internet or router, I've had this problem before, you need to open or change port or some shit, maybe change the mtu or dns on your console

aware i'm a few hours late but the fix for this is to COMPLETELY power off your PS4, then unplug it's power source for 30-45 minutes, then plug it back in. It'll fix it for a few weeks/months. The most commonly accepted reasoning for it is a static buildup causing it to happen, so having the system off entirely and unplugged lets the buildup dissipate.

It'll come back eventually though. It's just an issue with the way the button functions. Removing the rubber feet won't work, nor will tightening the manual ejection screw because it's still gonna try to eject every 2 seconds.

You can leave it unplugged for less time but I noticed a half hour is usually a good mark, if I only unplug it for like 5 or 10 minutes then it comes back in a week or two. And don't bother sending it in to sony either, I did when I couldn't figure it out and was sick of unplugging it every time it happened, and they sent it back with "lol no problems on our end, give us money for shipping".

All demo kiosks are on original PS4, most stuff runs fine, but it looks like early era ps3 or late PS2. Not bad, but not great, because they need the 90/120hz.

RIGS is by far the best looking game, the artstyle responds to and respects the lower polycount far better than shit like the heist. I bet rez will look fan-fucking-tastic too.

3 hours into aragami, it's totally worth the $20.

It's weird to describe. It's got a mix of features from tenchu and mark of the ninja which is pretty much their most marketed claim. Unfortunately the combat isn't very good, but it's passable, blinking isn't OP, you have to be very deliberate to avoid making sounds, so you're not able to just crouch and never be heard or seen, enemies pick up on shadows running past them in the distance, bodies are spotted and immediately trigger alarms, lots of cool stuff. Better than any other "stealth" game we've had on PS4 so far. Styx was just a god damned mess.

All that said, I 100% see this being a PS+ game down the line in a year or two. The online play is a fucking hassle, and it's really short. I'm more than half way through already.

My PS4 has been doing it recently. Not sure why, I shut all the apps down, but it always does it. Nothing's wrong with my system, it's not trying to eject anything (because ito nly happens when I shut the system down), but ever since I installed 4.00 every time I turn it off or put it in rest, it beeps.

So it looks like most places are enjoying the PSVR, but other places (Kotaku) hate it because they are retarded.
Someplaces are saying Tracking is pretty great, while others are saying it is jittery, though it seems like that could be down to how close you are to the camera or the location of the camera in general.

Someplaces are also shitting on the Move controllers for not having good tracking in 'certain' games, like Batman and Until Dawn, while having perfect tracking in Job Simulator and TumbleVR. This leads me to think that it is more of a software issue than a tracking issue. Hopefully a Day1 Patch can sort it out.

Overall though, I am still pretty happy with my preorder and all Digital Foundry say it is great, which means more to me than Kotaku/IGN/Gamespot.

From my limited experience at a few road to greatness tour event areas, tracking had issues when it wasn't properly lit. in san diego, it was very poorly lit in general, and headtracking had some issues. But a few days ago, at the balloon fiesta in NM, it was very bright and properly lit and ran like a dream. I think it comes down to how well it can see the shit, not that different from the move and ps camera of old.

The games I got to try were mostly worlds shit, rez, and rush of blood. worlds stuff had awkward control, in that it was largely novelty that you controlled something. rush of blood controlled fine when I tried it at balloon fiesta, and rez was pretty great. It's rez.

The camera IS just tracking the globes, while there are other things like gyros in the controllers, the camera is just for the orbs.

That being said, I suppose in a darker environment maybe the glow of them makes it harder to determine the orbs size, which is used to tell how near/far the Moves are to the camera, so being in a lit room might help it distinguish that.

It's very different from a lot of other stuff out right now.

You have different mechs that are different sizes and speeds, all which have their own unique abilities.
Essentially, you are the ball in the game, as you have to dunk yourself through the hoop in the middle of the map, while everyone else is trying to stop you and dunk themselves.
It has a single player career that apparently links with your online career, so you can play offline against bots and build the best mecha team, or play online with friends and be an even better mecha team.

It was honestly a toss up between RIGS or EVE, and while EVE was fun and fast, a lot of oculus user say that there isn't that much content to play around with.

Its probably for the best, the last few days I have been going to bed on time but just waking up during the night a lot, on Monday I legit fell asleep for like 5 minutes in the break room, luckily most people leave the building for lunch and I take my lunchbreak a bit later so anyone who did stay in already finished lunch earlier.

Is the gamesharing method of activating a friend's account on your ps4 still a viable way to gameshare after recent updates?

Think of it this way, out of the 33 reviews on Metacritic:

0 are negative
4 are mixed with still seemingly positive things to say, the lowest one that actually scores being a 70
26 are positive, the lowest one thats scores being a 79
3 are extremely positive, all 3 haves scores 2 of which are 90 and the last being 100.


If its got the games you want, then I don't think psvr is gonna be an issue for anyone who gets it.
