The jewel’s light is pointing at Mebd’s country, but Illya wants to take a detour to check what happened with Nursery Rhyme first.

You ask Helena what Mebd is like, and she says she’s terrifyingly strong, determined and brutal, with a soul for conquest. Since a Magical Girl’s power comes from believing in herself, Mebd is without a doubt the strongest.

This is not said sarcastically, mind you.

Mebd has been here longer than Helena and the two used to be friends, but Helena distanced herself from her when she became obsessed with conquest. Helena says Mebd came up with the idea to raise an army and overthrow the Lady, and probably is still planning that even now.

The conversation gets interrupted as you see some of Mebds troops drawing near even though you’re still in the neutral zone. Mashu scolds Roman for not warning you about them, but Roman says he’s been keeping watch and sees nothing. Helena apologizes but says she won’t fight since she does not want to oppose Mebd directly, and that she doesn’t have much power in the neutral zone anyway.

Helena tells Mashu not to glare at her since she didn’t do anything, though she says that this was not unexpected, and Illya worries about you not being able to go back home just as Roman re-establishes the connection.

Mashu is relieved, but Roman tells her not to relax just yet as Chaldea was just attacked.

The Servants in Chaldea drove off the enemies, but Roman orders you and Mashu back immediately.

Mashu worries about having exposed Chaldea to danger, and Ruby tells her to undo her transformation, since she’s relying only on you for Magical Energy, so it’s better that she conserve as much as she can from here on out and let Illya handle the fighting. Mashu complies reluctantly and then wonders what you should do, so you suggest looking for what caused this. Helena agrees, since you need to find the source of that intrusion or else even scampering back home won’t put you out of danger, and Mashu says how lucky you are to have Illya for help, which makes Illya start to cry from happy embarrassment.

You don’t hear Roman’s decision directly but it’s obvious he’s letting you stay. Illya apologizes for making you go through all this for her sake, but Mashu tells her that Roman would forcibly transport you back if he really thought it was necessary, so him not doing so means he knows this is important. You note that he seems a bit sulky to be left out of things this time around, and Mashu says you ought to thank him for his work once you get back (though Illya notes Mashu herself looks a little sulky for some reason.)

In any case, you’ve decided to cut communications until you check in at a predetermined time, and Helena asks you if you’re going to keep dawdling since you’re almost at the border between countries.

Cu-chan shows up and tells tem plainly that this place became the Land of Snowflakes and Honey when the land shifted to Mebd, though he thinks the name of the place is stupid.

You ask Cu if they’re the ones and attacked Chaldea and he nods, though he says Mebd has not yet gone as far as being able to steal the Lady’s power. You realize she must be further in, and Mashu reminds you that your attacks were nerfed against her, but that you still should be able to fight, so you challenge Cu.

The entrance to the Lady’s domain is a maze of mirrors guarded by her Familiars, but Miyu believes Sapphire should be able to guide someone through. Finally, she tells Illya not get near her by any means, and instead find someone she can ask her to do it instead. Miyu sees some patrolling familiars approaching and tells Sapphire to run, so that ends the recording.

Illya gets depressed about Miyu telling her to stay away, but Sapphire tells her that Miyu is definitely waiting for her and that you’ll all help. Sapphire is bothered by being away from Miyu, but thanks you for looking after Illya and then starts talking with Ruby. You note how Sapphire seems to be the cool type, and Ruby says starts gossiping about her being clumsy and sullen until Sapphire tells her to shut up.

Illya wonders why Miyu would tell her to stay away, and Sapphire says it had something to do with something Miyu noticed about the Lady’s true form. You ask Helena if she knows what that means, and she says that she had researched the Lady. As the first Magical Girl, she established the very concept of Magical Girls and is to them what the King of Heroes is to Heroic Spirits.

She gives Illya her stone, telling her to bring it back later as s sort of gesture of friendship, and you go in.

Mebd greets you and mocks you with having caught a glimpse of your dull world through her familiars, which pissed Mashu off before you teld her to control herself.

Mebds says Mashu is just a fake Magical Girl anyway and that the one she really wants is Illya. She tells her to join her again, saying you and the others are probably only tricking her to invade Illya world, but Illya knows you’d never do that. Mebd offers Illya her help to recue Miyu if the two will join her so they can enslave you and the others from Chaldea, but Cu tells her to focus on her priorities and kill you since he knows you’d never consent obeying her. Mebd thanks him for the advice, but says that she will decide who to kill or not since she’s the queen.

Once outside, you inform Helena of Mebd’s death and she tells you not to worry about it since feeling pity for her is pointless. Mebd had entrusted her stone to Mashu, so you finally head for the black wall.

I've only skimmed the final chapter as I was ripping the text, but mother of Christ Hiroyama needs to have something whip him any time he tries to write drama.

This is an event revolving around original characters, playing out a story where most of the cast isn't really the characters you know, but they expect you to take this seriously as opposed to everyone intentionally shooting the shit like during the Sanzou event. So it's an original story centered around an original character nobody gives a shit about, and the overall execution is as predictable and by-the-numbers as you can imagine, written by a guy who's only mildly bearable when he's being humorous yet is writing comparatively few jokes.

They hired Hiroyama to do a Nanoha parody. Then he started trying to get serious, and all he ended up with was the exact sort of story he was originally spoofing. That sums up both this event and Prisma in general, except that he couldn't pull his trademark "remember that thing Nasu wrote about? IT'S HERE!" hype-generating feint in this event, so you just get large stretches of dull predictability.

what CEs are you using? I've only got a NP1 level 85 Illya with level 7 Buster UP. With a Black Grail, Mashu's attack buff from Lord Camelot and a rank 5 Ozy Charisma I'm hitting for 100k+ (130k with plug suit attack buff) on neutral gold hands. That's pretty decent, in comparison Ozy with lvl 10 IP and same other buffs applied hits for about 60k

Not to mention 'good for hitting assassins hard' is one of the best niches to fulfil left in the game, Assassin bosses by nature are the most dangerous along with Archers due to 3 bar NPs. Luckily there are already a plethora of gold Lancers with powerful ST NPs. Whereas Assassin bosses fuck your shit up if you dont have a strong ST Berserker/Jeanne/Sanzo to kill them since most Casters are low damage. (The giant ghost boss always gave me more trouble than everything outside of the tougher raid bosses)

I think how good she would be depends on two things - the range of her army creation abilities and the strength of Clan Calatin. Clan Calatin in lore would have beaten even Cu if he had received outside help, but monster-based summonings are often pretty easy to beat in Fate. If Clan Calatin is strong enough to take out a servant on it's own, then she'd have a big hitting weapon, otherwise she could probably take out mid-tier servants but wouldn't really have enough firepower to take out the top tier ones or really pose much of a threat to them.

Was there any more info released on Sigurd? I'm just hoping he'll be more usable than Siegfried. I like Siegfried's sprite but I have trouble fitting him in a team except maybe with George for the dragon status NP

The main argument I usually levy against Medb is just that she's a shit person who lacks any real redeeming qualities. I don't really care that much about her powerlevel (though I don't think she really has much that can scratch top-tiers).

If we ever do get Medb in a full Fate/ story, I can't see it not being with Cu. They could actually have Cu as a protagonist there as well, he's popular enough.

To be fair, I think she has the potential to develop into a pretty good antagonist, but Grand Order is pretty limited in how it can develop its cast.
