It has the highest english speaking population amongst all of the JP servers so it's your best bet. Pingwise you may need a tunneling service depending on where you are in aus, but a sub to pingzapper is only like $4 a month.

I would say pretty low. Battlecraft seems to largely have been relegated to glamour gear, like the replica Allagan/Dreadwyrm stuff, or the glowing Primal weapons. And the Replica Allagan gear required Battlecraft for all of the armor, but none for the weapons.

If I had to take a stab in the dark, I'd guess that the 250 weapons would use the old 2-star materials (Adamantite Ingots, Astral Birch Lumber, etc), since those materials have gone very underused since 3.0, and they're still harder to get than anything that's come since or is likely to come in 3.4.

I personally always skip just to save time and watch them in the inn afterwards. It's a hit or miss kind of situation depending on the amount of cutscenes.
It's better in HW because the only cutscenes in the dungeons then are the dungeon introduction ones, the final boss introduction one and the boss death one.
They understood that no one is waiting for cutscenes so they did this in HW.

If so, buy it whenever.

Honestly, I found floors 30-50 to be pretty fun.

Mostly just because it's pretty easy to get overwhelmed, leading to some pretty hectic moments. If you've got a good party, with a good sense of humor, who can still pull through, then it winds up being a good time. So yeah, pretty subjective, but I think it can be fun. Would be nice if they did more to make it just a bit more interesting though. Less RNG, more transformations, something like that...

If you already melded one of them just use it, the difference in attack power between the two is quite small, with the lore axe being slightly better. I wouldn't spend the lore tomes on the weapon the week before the patch but that's a personal decision you have to make. i definitely wouldn't slot V materia into either unless you just have tons
