HIP via PB does actually have something similar for empires that get too small so it's not out of the realms of possibility, but I don't think anyone's done it yet.

It's pretty simple, if the holding is a capital and it's N far away from the inheritor's kingdom border, the holding stops being the capital and other holdings becomes the capital. Then the owner of the castle needs to pay the owner of that province a percentage of his castle earnings. If the holder is a count he may choose to abdicate his old holding and forfeit his bound to his previous liege and ask the new one to accept him.

It's not hard at all.

How do I stop Mesopotamia from inheriting my land? I just lost the entirety of Oultrejourdain, Ascalon and Hebron and Jerusalem all of a sudden and I just truce broke thrice to get back some of that land. As soon as I reconquered Jerusalem I get a warning that Jerusalem will be inherited by Mesopotamia again and of course, the countess of Jerusalem is married to the heir to the Kingdom of Mesopotamia, meaning that her son will inevitably become it also.
To whom should I give the duchy of Ascalon so that it doesn't get given to someone else because of shitty republican crown authority?

I feel like de jure Jerusalem should become de jure Israel when Israel is created, at least, so I don't have to fabricate claims to retake land I've owned for the last 400 years.

Spain is incredibly boring. There's not really a lot to 'do'. You can play the colonial game, but in that case you're just playing a yellow Portugal/Netherlands. You've got many sparsely populated low literacy provinces, which makes industrialising a complete chore much like the Ottomans.

Unlike the Netherlands and Portugal, you don't get any flavour events for colonisation, and unlike the Ottomans you don't have the variety of raw materials or even the obvious expansion opportunities.

The only reason to play Spain is you enjoy artificially high militancy and rebel hunting. Every other aspect of the game is more enjoyable spent playing another nation.

When will paradox make a dlc where you can play landless?

Question for /gsg/, what do you think would be a better world:

Option 1: Modern day alt/far takes power in Europe and enacts their policies on migration and tolerance as they please, Europe becomes a walled garden with mostly closed borders.

Option 2: the European nations never give up their colonies, and European culture (but not race) is still viewed as the ideal culture in said colonies, but in exchange there is completely free movement between the mother countries and colonies, and no racial preference in any field.
