I think it's pretty fun.

It does feel a bit like a poor man's Overwatch but eh, it's free and I like some of the character designs(bring Ying back!).

No hero switching does make it a bit hard if you start with a team full of flankers or damagers though.

Honestly the change of the voice commands is fucking idiotic. Now if you are in Ranked and one of your teammates either has their ult up or need Grover to bring spring on their ass you have to look who said it, and in a shooter, that's a risky move, an enemy can come up and kill you for not paying attention especially if it's a Kinessa, which will one shot you if she has the right cards.

For people that suck at aiming I would say you could play these heroes:

You get Turrets, A shield, a panic button to run away, and ult is a shield

You get a shield, a panic button to run away and for reposition, and his ult can keep you and your allies alive so you can push the payload or to stay on the point.

Some may say other characters but for me, those are the ones I use whenever I play with my laptop's touchpad and I still get a few kills.

Not trying to start a fanboy war here but how does this game compare to Overwatch? It looks interesting but a lot of the characters seem to be really similar to Overwatch characters, plus the P2W thing really bugs me (some idiot with too much money having all the best cards, etc).

My friends are kinda stupid when it comes to games like this. I want to learn how to be a decent support as I like the idea of Pip but because of a single bad game (literally my first match against real players) because my friend were in such a hurry to play a real game they are telling me that I shouldn't play as Pip. I am still in the progress of learning characters (didn't even try them all at that point) and unlocking cards so of course I am going to suck at the game if you queue up like that. Now their logic is that I should never play as Pip because of an awful unprepared game where honestly it is the only character I want to git gud at for the moment. So they pretty much making me choose not having fun or just quit playing altogether and yet they wonder why I avoid games like this when they ask me to join in. I see very little reason to play a game if it isn't fun for you.

Of what little I had play though it seem fun, I just need more friends with the right mindset.

Maps feel like they're made for a 1 lane moba, I like it though, keeps the games short and sweet. Still have no idea how which cards are good/bad, every game I go with direct damage reduction, movement speed, life on hit, extra damage or reload.

Sound like something they would do honestly. You might be spot on with that. What they don't understand is that they often ruin games for me by doing that shit. I never get upset on a player match with any game because if you lose that mean another human was better than you, not necessary the lack of skill. In that case the Skye player play the character well and assrape me throughout the game even when I knew she would be coming.

Pip is pretty fun though. A healer that can actually deal damage. Only issue is if the whole team get wipe from doing something stupid then you are kinda fuck only stuck as the other team get closer with the objective while you feel useless.

I'm having fun but everything looks a bit simplistic ( 2-5 minutes matches, really? ). I've watched a couple videos and apparently the game mechanics used to be more complex.
Any idea why Hi-Rez scrapped everything? I'm kinda bummed about that old card system, which looked much more interesting than the current one, and the old siege mode.

Kind of an exaggeration on my part, to be completely honest.

I guess my main problem with Overwatch, is that it was marketed(or at least perceived pre release) as an innovative game with moba mechanics and heroes yadayadayada, when in reality, it didn't really contribute much new to the genre.

Most "abilities" are weapons that would simply take up a weapons slot in any other fps, or a killstreak or pickup item you would find in another game.

Then of course there are the payload objectives, the engies, and the snipers with the exact same mechanics as in tf2.

So they didn't completely rip off tf2, but the few new ideas that they did add were poorly implemented, and not all that great to begin with.

I wouldn't even be so pissed about it if they didn't charge $40 for the game.

I've been following this game for sometime and it feels like devs are not really sure what they want to do and how. I'm really afraid for it's future, they might just drop it like they did it with GA and Tribes.

Also hit detection is even worse than in overwatch. There were so many time when I hit people just by shooting in their general direction as a Kinessa.

Fernando and Makoa have gigantic hitbox that you can pretty much hit without even having to aim, but Evie for example, has really small hitbox.

Well, Fernando is more of a "Shield down, go and fight" type champion. Because of your HP, the other enemies will focus on you, giving your allies a window to kill the enemies. Don't stay on the point/payload all the time. Fight till your shield's countdown finishes and then try to keep your allies alive.

Also you play with bots, so that's that.
