That first one is network problem, it's good to cripple your network so that it happens when you're trying to grind crates or whatever and some people do that.
For me it takes only a minute or two to load into online, but I do it by going into story mode first and then going to online from there.
Self radio I guess I can confirm, but not quite double. Without self radio I have 15% CPU usage, with I have 18%.

I still don't think it's a game that runs poorly. The only real performance related issue I have with it is massive desyncing if you're playing with people all over the world rather than from your continent exclusively. It cripples some heists like fleeca job and the prison breakout.

Sandking a fun.
Make sure you keep the extended bumper and fuel tanks off of it. The added ground clearance comes in handy for crawling, among other things. If you want to really go balls-to-the-wall, you can remove the side steps with the same trick used to remove the spoilers on the Infernus, Phoenix, RE-7B, etc.
The large bed rollbar also gives the truck a bulletproof back if you want a cheap anti-NPC vehicle.

Having trouble connecting to GTA Online today for some reason today. Was working fine all of last week and up till last night, but when I woke up this morning to the new patch, I can't connect to Online at all. Keeps shitting out

Then you're in the wrong game. You should setup a Pacstan finale and take turns glitching with someone with a 0(you)/50(partner with finale ready)/25/25 split. Disconnect/kill the process immediately when the HUD disappears and you'll retain the finale while everyone else gets the money. Each finale takes roughly 20 minutes, a 50% split nets you 625k. All you have to do is speak up here, the circlejerk may have their hacked money, but the rest of the crew doesn't.
