No, AAU doesn't always require extra files. In this case, what happens is that one hair slot goes unused and is overriden with another back hair slot. Since the AA2 system files are already in place, you don't need anything.

Pic related for instance though uses the horns in the HEXA pack and applies purple tint over them, so that's something you need (it also uses tans to give her black nails at all times). And as mentioned, there IS already set up in the card some overrides (namely hair highlight and build change), but they are too minor and just personal preference in comparison to the rest.

AA2 is a bit too big for RAM disk. Unless you have 64GB or more of RAM.

You just need a few of the worse most reloaded game bits on RAM, like jg2e01, jg2p01 and maybe your most used HEXA outfits. Maybe throw the base textures (jg2e03 and jg2p03) in there as well. You don't really have to put the full game on a RAM disk.

Now, that requires some file linking (like the hardlinker) since you'll have part of the game data on disk and part of it in RAM. Some anon made a guide for that which I don't have access to at the moment.

See pic related for an AAU starter guide. Focus on the example with Annette on build change. For cards that already are AAU you don't need to worry, with your own you have to keep in mind you need to override files to get the desired effect.

There are three categories for overrides no less, Mesh Texture Overrides where you can just place a file to replace another texture file (you can swap tans, highlights and colors all around with this), Archive Override where you pick a file to replace other things that don't have to be an image exactly (like replacing XX and XA) and the Archive File Overrides where you can replace hair pieces overriding them by referrencing the same files in the AA2 system.

I'd clearly run out of space if I explained every last of them in this post, so just say which one of these are you really after.

Hi. I have a question for JS3FICTIONS second anniversary poses if anyone using. The game itself is loading all poses correctly but subtitle overlay has an issue. It cause a wall of text saying that cannot open jg2p01_00_00.pp, generates great amount of lag whenever loading the scenes. I want to check if this is a common error before fixing the problem.

Beauty marks might be just a texture file though, with no physics to add (though then again likely the same for shoes and such). If they're just textures then they can be replaced by something in the texture mesh override (since hair replacing through this method uses all three files, bps, xa and xx).

Glasses might have physics though, really don't know myself. Would need to know their filenames to replace them regardless.

Neither bps nor xa files have to do with the hair not appearing. It's actually the structure of the xx files not being what the game expects for glasses the problem. Hair and Glasses have different frame naming convetions.

Now someone figure out a way for the game to load an arbitrary number of .xx files for any given context (hair, glasses, etc.). I give headpats and huggus as reward.

I'm still playing around with tans to figure them out, just saw that I can make sort of a cyborg arm for girls that make clang (which should help in getting the stitches and patch right on Zombina as well)

Still, if the stitches just don't come off well I'd just dump the current version and call it a day. I have other girls done (Papi, Miia, Draco, Cerea probably wouldn't be hard to do) but just didn't settle on where to upload. This makes me wonder, isn't there a way to port outfits from HS to AA2? I tried another Illusion game way back (Secrosphere or whatever) but it seemed things were just too foreign to be ported. This isn't a 3D-thing. Not really anyway. The UV map is just how the skin is stretched over the model. When you're making your tans along this UV, you want to keep fine details to points that aren't stretched - folloing the lines and avoiding the spaces in between them. It can be trial-and-error or you can try and track down a map that shows the actual vertices and lines that make up the map for easy-mode.

And just to drive home the point of how new I am to all this, I was trying to use tans for colored faces but I only got the colors to give me a multiply effect instead of the colors themselves. Then I got the Full Body pack from the pastebin and saw things like pic related where the tans seem to be able to pick other colors but they're still just black and white BMPs.

Am I missing something or are those bullshots?
