If you're playing Mid you don't want to max Q first because E's for wave-clear. Second anon is right though. Q's a good pick for maxing second for the cooldown, though you're not going to be using it much unless all-inning or backing. It's an emergency kind of thing.

I went W for the aggression and the attack speed proc on top of Q. Chunking minions and all that.

You can clear a wave with a fully charged Q and E at level 13 or so with Q>E>W max. In mid, E>Q>W. You gain far too much from leveling Q ( reduced CD and more damage, which equals more mobility) compared to the 5% attack speed and %hp damage from W. The armor shred is constant at all ranks, so leaving it at level 1 is ok.

W max second is only good if the enemy is mostly tanks, which you shouldn't really be fighting as Vi because you 1shot squishies with your combo.

As I said I went E-W-Q mainly for laning. I disperse my points fairly evenly throughout my level (never really one falling behind or so) but I do max E first for the AA resets. The armor shred is constant, yeah, but the %HP damage is still good for fighting tanks (which if you're roaming you're going to, let's face it.)

Ymmv, but E-W-Q is the way I go, though E-Q-W is if I'm losing lane/hate my opponent and need to roam playing catch-up.

This is all, of course, reminder that she's best in the jungle.

if op.gg says your mmr is 1635, it means you're playing with mostly gold 3/4s or whatever 1635 correlates to

for example, silver 1's actual elo is 1400 or something around there, but if you're playing with high golds or whatever mostly your mmr is much higher, it'll be like 1700

I'm starting to feel like everyone has the wrong idea about how to climb in League. I mean, you turn on any high-elo stream and they tell you "you need to 1v9 carry, fuck your team you need to do everything yourself". Which sounds like solid advice, except that it's coming from Master/Challenger players. The average Bronze/Silver hears this info, forgets that they're at about the same skill level as everyone else in their elo, and then picks Yi/Yasuo/Kat and do dumb shit trying to "1v9" carry. I mean, playing WITH your team is so unusual that I swear to God I climbed from Bronze 1 to Gold 5 just by peeling for my ADC. I mean sure every now and then it backfired and my ADC was retarded, but honestly so many teams were so surprised by the tactic that they honestly had no idea how to deal with it and I climbed.

Am I the only one who thinks working with the team is the way to climb as opposed to trying to be the edgy badass?

For the average player, your way is more effective. However you should keep in mind that peeling and tanking DO require game knowledge and mechanics as well. So when he sees Bronze games or clips of Bronze games, he doesn't think "how would a Bronze win this", he thinks "what would I do" (which is several leagues above what an average Bronzie can do). Then he tells them to 1v9 carry because he doesn't realize how bad they are at the game. They wouldn't because they're bad, and more importantly because they're not significantly better than people in the same bracket.

Generally when streamers say that, they're responding to people asking "I'm better than people in my elo, how do I climb?" In that case their response makes sense - "carry by being good enough to impact the game by yourself, or get to that point through study and practice where you can". I think what I'm trying to say is that to reliably climb out of an elo, you DO need to consistently perform better than your peers -- however, playing damage oriented carries isn't the only way to do so. And if you can't do your job better than other people, whether it's dps or peeling or engaging, then why would you climb? You climbed out by being a better peeler than dumb bronze supports, that's all there is to it.

Also I haven't heard about people here hating Bjergsen, either way no one would deny his skill. He's way above top 1% though, Dia 2 is already 0.15% of the playerbase and Bjerg is easily among top 5 mids in the world.

When I lose as Yasuo I can at least see my mistakes easily and learn. Yasuo is a champion that would be able to 1v5 in my elo if I was truly good. If that didn't happen I have to take a look at MY gameplay. Here I dashed under the tower lvl 2 and lost the trade because of that. Here I didn't ult fast enough, here I fucked up my animations, here I greeded on teleport and didn't take 2 towers and possibly inhib. There's always something I could have done to win any game and I can try and see it.
When I play Maokai? I get an initiation that's perfect in my eyes and then we lose the teamfight because my team didn't follow up and I can't do it myself. Was it my fault? My team didn't follow up, but should I have predicted that? Should I expect my team to play well every game? It's never clear whether I did my best and my team failed me or I didn't and was the problem myself.
And this is the worst feeling this game can give me. When I play 1v5 champs I always know I am the reason I don't win every time. When I play team-reliant champs I feel like I lose even when I'm doing more than should have been enough and it fucking sucks.

Is Riot making up for the great Fiora triggering by giving her now the best damn splashes in the game?

I would think so.

Nearly all of the splashes released this year have been great though. I can't wait to see Twitch's updated splashes because of it. Draven, Fizz, Skarner and Diana need new profile splash updates as well
