Bamco did it for Tales of Zestiria and Berseria, and it's not just before release, it's for the whole game period. Some other games will disable them during cutscenes, but these are the only ones I know that outright disable it everywhere.

That game is good but not that good. At first it's nice that all the bad ends are written, but they don't really contribute to anything so it feels like a waste of time reading them.
Then there's how after the beginning of the game when it shows you how cool the two timelines stories affect each other, after some point they don't anymore and it's just "get skill X on timeline A to use it to progress in timeline B"

It's good but definitely not a masterpiece.
Mugen Kouro has a better story imo.
Sekaiju no Meikyu games too.
