Not really. They have similarities in theme and structure, but the gameplay and features are different enough, unless you believe every rhythm game is the same.
In terms of UI, SIF is more phone friendly and there are no particular disadvantages to thumb players, while SS' layout means your phone better have a big screen or you're fucked, and thumb players will have much more trouble with the screen wide slides and shit. If you want SIF clones, there are other games by Klab and GFNote, while SS spawned its own clones, namely 8beatstory and Idol Connect.
