The only thing Slark has to do, is to Dark Pact to counter disables, and Ulti to avoid getting targeted.
If they don't have detection he can just use Shadow Blade at the start to disjoint projectiles, wait for 1-2 spells to go off, and then pick off anything that hasn't gotten off enough spells.

In teamfight scenarios all slark needs is a good initiation

If the fight starts off well and he gets some ES stacks up and the fights a man down, slark can easily teamfight with his team backing him up

If you gain MMR from spamming a hero it does not make the MMR any less deserved, which is why prople say that MMR is not a good precise indicator of skill. MMR works well to compare skill over larges ranges however.
