Are you talking about mura on a pitch black screen? That's just a downside in the production of OLED screens, and is pretty much random in terms of how much you get. To the person that was nice enough to try dumping the Dragon's Crown 1.06 US patch, it doesn't work.
Most likely because the game dump and the patch dump are from different versions, with the game being from vitamin 1.1, before any patch support was really added.
If you dump the game with mai I'll be more than thankful and happy to try it again

Alright anons Ive come to a point where i know how to extract PT and all its contents

Here's the problem I'm facing - theres no way to boot it to dump the contents unless you have access to an account that had it.

As such, it's become a big roadblock.

I ask knowing how big this is to ask, but if you have PT assigned to your PSN, you are the key to dumping this shit, but that also means you'd be sharing PSN credentials to have this happen.

So because of this, is there ANYONE that has a throwaway account that has PT assigned to it? If so, that would help a fucking ton (and be safer).

If you anons need an explanation to why and how this works I can provide such, but I really fucking hate to have to ask for this shit.

The other roadblock at hand is whether it truly will work. Due to this being a testkit, it normally should not boot retail signed games. As such this makes it a bigger risk as I cannot guarantee it will work, but I can guarantee that I will not stop til it is dumped.

Yeah, I have a 8 gb and I play similar games. It works perfectly fine, I can fit a few games like that and then quite a few small indies ontop as well. Works perfectly fine for me, as I wouldn't play more games than I currently have installed anyway. Even if you'd want to switch between stuff, you can just back them up on your computer using QCMA and then switch however you want.

I'm trying to play a burned version of DDR Extreme JP on a US PS2 Fat SCPH-50001 Unmodded.

Do I absolutely HAVE to get swapdisc, or is there another method? Also, have I done anything wrong:

I burned the ISO onto a DVD-R 4.7GB with a DVD-RW burner with daemon tools at 8x write speed.

According to a guide I found, now in order to run it, I simply have to get swapdisc and unscrew a part of my disc drive so I can manually swap swapdisc and the burned dvd-r out.

Quite a lot of games work fine on FAT32 drives, there's only a handful I've come across that don't. If the game has files bigger than 4gb you'll have to play it from the internal drive. There's a way to use NTFS drives with multiman, but it was spotty the last time I tried it. It's probably improved since then, so you can check that out.

That homebrew includes CogSwap (A free SwapMagic replacement), ESR (Plays PS2 games from a burned DVD without swapping, so long as they're patched) and OPL (Plays PS2 games from a USB stick, SMB share or the internal HDD)

How easy it is to install depends on what you have at your disposal. Specific games, an Action Replay disc, the HDD adaptor etc. all help you get either FreeMCBoot or FreeHDBoot.

Failing that, you can just buy a memory card with FreeMCBoot preloaded.

The problem is that people who never used QCMA before apparently don't have the random number folder inside /PSAVEDATA/.

I just found a workaround. All you have to do is go into setting under QCMA and click on browse in Applications / Backups. Then set it to a new folder somewhere else in your PC. Then you go into your Content Manager on your vita and transfer Molecule Shell or any other vita app will work. This will create all the folders you need. Then go to the folder where you set your Applications / Backups on your PC and into /SAVEDATA/ folder there should be only 1 folder with random numbers, that's the folder you need.
