A special summon from grave following a correct special summon is itself considered a correct special summon. It's for that reason you can have King Calamity and Samsara summon eachother when they die, once per turn.
Besides that, I've never heard of a ruling that any soft OPT effects would fail if the monster was not special summoned correctly.

Ya know, a Gemini Pendulum archetype would be nice. The scale effect is "destroy 1 card to target a Gemini Monster; it is treated as an effect monster". The monsters them self are treated as Vanillas everywhere and are level 2 and 3.
