There used to be a demo on PSN for it. Double check if it's still there and that'll give you an idea of how it looks.
It was the best looking launch title besides maybe Wipeout, but it's not native res. It does have some AA though so it doesn't look as bad as other early non-native res games like Gravity Rush. I still think it looks pretty decent.

By launch period syndrome he means that it uses all the features of the system. So there's forced touch screen stuff, forced hold the vita up to sunlight stuff, and some gyro stuff in there too.
