Are co-op games worth anything? Like, why do they even exist, there doesn't seem to be literally any point in them as you'll get the same payout and exp from hitting a single round and dying in a random game as if you sank 3 ships in coop, with the daily 50% boost none the less.

They're for people who don't want to get their feelings hurt. I don't even think it's possible to turn a profit in them at high tiers, but there are people with thousands of PvE matches played. That new mode seemed kind of interesting, with 2 bots against every 1 player, but it still gave the same shitty rewards. Not to mention the matchmaking starts a game after 30 seconds, no matter how few players are in queue, so you could end up on a team of dumb bots.

Either point making needs to be changed to make matches a little longer on average, or there needs to be a fucking mechanic whereby the game doesn't immediately end if some minimum number of enemy ships are in range of each other and/or actively targeting each other. That way DD shits that are in range of enemy ships but are being sneaky cunts dont drag matches out, but it two BBs are about to get into a firefight then they actually can see that firefight through.

There is a significant methodology change here, though. I'm just going to copy my post from before:

The justification would be that your individual contribution is responsible for half of the change in stats in a 2-man div, and 1/3 of the change in stats in a 3-man div. Example: someone with a solo Skill of 100 and unadjusted 2-man and 3-man Skills of 130 and 140 would get the latter two adjusted to 115 and 113.33. Someone with solo Skill of 120, 2-man of 130, and 3-man of 140 would get the latter two adjusted to 125 and 126.67.
>The big problem with this is that it relies on your ship's solo Skill to: 1) exist at all, and 2) be at least halfway accurate. #1 requires it to not be null, and #2 requires it to sample a decent number of games. So my proposed solution is that if you have less than, say, 10 solo games in a ship, your 2-man and 3-man div numbers are going to be adjusted against the server average solo stats. That way, you can't sit on your 100% solo WR (after one game) and have it completely skew your ship's stats.

tl;dr: The modifier adjusts your div'd WR in a ship with respect to solo WR without making it go the other direction. In order to say that someone is the best at that bote, they have to demonstrate at least some bare semblance of competence playing solo in that bote because coming out #1 because you played 40-something games in a 3-man div with 90% WR is pretty lame.

Its not just to avoid acidic players, although it is a huge perk. I have a bit over 4000 PvP matches and a bit more than 2000 PvE matches and I have to say I like PvE more on the basis the games are consistently fun, when you die, its because you fucked up, not because someone abused a bullshit mechanic. Torp soup is no existent (isnt to say bots dont torp, they do, and are much more accurate than people somehow). No one hides in the back, and even if you do, it never works because the bots charge straight across anyway. About my only complaints is that there's any rewards/penalties (I would make it so you cant lose money on PvE, but can't make any either, basically how the Training Room works), and that the MM is a bit too fast, I dont mind waiting a full min to avoid getting bot teammates.

As far as the rewards are concerned, I've found CA's up to Tier 9, CV's till about Tier 9, DD's till T10, and BB's to about T8 can turn a profit consistently if you don't lose much more than 1/4 health. As far as XP is concerned, I can avg about 1050-1100 XP per match w/ prem/perm camo + flag, *as* a FTP. If I was a sub I would easily break the 1500 per match mark. Its really not hard to do, specifically at the higher tiers. I like PvP sometimes, and the rewards make the grind much faster/easier, but its too inconsistent, sometimes great matches, sometimes awful, and I'm not a fucking sociopath that can't get an erection if Im not beating someone else. Sometimes its okay to just play the computer, and you know, have fun. Competition isn't fucking anything. I say this with a 61% WR.

And it turns out that pressing hte both of them together also just happens to change your keyboard language for those of us who occasionally type in other languages. What the fuck am I listening to. If Wargaming wants to drop the range of torpedoes down to 10km on ships with 6km stealth, more power to them. The Minekaze had that exact setup and it's been hailed as the best ship in the line since the game launched, even considered competitive in high tier fail divs. Better guns to defend yourself with is just icing on the cake. If they were really feeling generous, they'd make the reloads quicker like in low tiers and lower damage a bit. Make that the national peculiarity if you want a torpedobote line.

Use WASD copiously. Try to be sailing parallel to the trajectory of incoming enemy fire. Do the cruiser asswaggle to juke shots between salvoes. Use islands and smoke to block incoming fire when you need to turn (i.e. time your turns behind islands). Don't be afraid to stop firing so that you can turn invisible.

It's really less where you should be on the map and more of where you should be in relation to the enemy. (Unless you're in an Atlanta.)

CAs don't have to be getting within 10km of enemy BBs to be useful. They just have to not be 15km behind the BBs that they're supposed to be supporting.
Although unlike the other guy I don't really blame CAs for be reluctant to push up and support BBs, it's when DDs are cowards that really annoys me.
Especially at tiers where you need them further up spotting invisfiring ships raining down hell on the BBs with no way to respond to them, as well as pushing off opposing DDs and shit.
