Not changing party members in DDS1 actually isn't a bad idea as long as your Serph complements the party.

Also unlocking hard mode in DDS2 from the get go thanks to the transfered files makes things worth it. It's a lot more unforgiving, it encourages you to use different party members mid-battle, and it makes many boss fights pretty thrilling.

I actually went into that fight unprepared and hoping that elemental shields would cover up my weaknesses. But I found out that the boss has a way to fuck up with your party members, and after what was probably a 30 minute struggle I got BTFO in such an epic proportion that once I healed my asspain for the game, I retreated to do the post-game bosses, learned tons of other mantras, hunted magatamas and grinded in the areas where enemies drop incenses before going back to the tower.

Maybe I'm a big scrub and the final boss is easy if you know what you're dealing with, and know which skills you should use. But otherwise you should try to be as strong as possible to take on it.
But don't get me wrong, in hindsight this was a fun experience that made the process of moving on to DDS2 a lot more satisfying.

The constantine movie. Its not infinitely great. But it is what it is. If you go into it realizing its a gritty version of a comic book movie, and will have an accordingly scaled plot, its fairly enjoyable. There's angels and demons and they are depicted enough like angels and demons that it can be seen in that light. The entire point of the plot is that merkabah and lucifer are the two halves of his personality. So obviously he does. Lucifer was created with that part put into him and the other part put into merkabah and both told to be angels specifically because lucifer was born to be rebellious so the fact that he would eventually rebel was more or less a given.

Satan is still identified as law in game. I assume that that means his alignment is actually a balance and is dark / law. So we're meant to see that these two extremes originally existed in one being, but not as a neutral / neutral balance. I think this actually explains a bit about the real endings. The reason massacre is ambiguous to place, despite leaning law is because it is dark law. Its not just compliance with the existing gods, or not understanding this compliance, but creating a new order willingly and of your own power. Satan can rebel with his rebellious side, but seeks to establish a superior order with his angel side.
