Getting really sick of this shit, I'm only gold 4 and I'm constantly getting matched with pros. Even in casual, there's a pro on my team and 2 pros on the enemy team right now. Previous game the pro on my team got a double ace. It's got to the point where if I see anyone good at the game I just google their name and they have an ESL profile.

What do you guys have turned off in your matchmaking preferences?

I used to disable bomb as well but eventually I realized that it's far too easy to defend one site. If both teams are good nobody wins the attack rounds. Whereas with bomb the attackers have a much better chance to win. Now I have hostage and secure disabled and I only play bomb.

What other game modes do you think they could add? I think maybe a T hunt style deathmatch mode I'm multiplayer might be fun. Defenders can set up literally anywhere and can make the whole map their funhouse without worrying about an objective.

Twitch drone needs the ability to jump, longer range, and maybe shorter shock cooldown.

A bigger affect would be that the shock darts stuns the enemy, the enemy can't temporarily move, is forced out of ads, etc.

Changing the game isn't breaking it.

A handful of defensive gadgets are in danger for 40 seconds at the start, big whoop. You can kill the drone if it's in the room no problem, then set your shit down.

The only thing the Twitch drone is going to bring to the table in prep phase, is great initial camera destruction, a chance at getting a cheeky gadget destroyed, and potentially frustrating a few defending operators as you zip zap around.

I wonder of Rook and Montagne arw getting any changes. Rook is in an ok spot. The only slight buff I can think if is that you keep your armor after a down instead of losing it. For Montagne, to fix him would be to fix all shield users I think.

p90 is fine, but mp5 is one of the best guns in the entire game, not just for defenders.
Low recoil, good dps. If you want to be a pin point defender(on PC) - you need an acog, and p90 have to much recoil to be used with acog.

mp5 have such a good hipfire, that you can reliably hipfire headshot people in cqc.

Consider this. Caveira is literally meant to be sneaky, you can't be sneaky if you make lots of noise. It is 100x harder to flank if you make lots of noise. When you crouch as a 3 speed there is some sound, but not a lot, however with silent step enabled, you are literally silent, it is nigh-impossible that they can hear you. When Walking, you make about as much noise as crouching (For when you are at a moderate distance from enemies), and when running you make about as much noise as walking. That goes a LONG way when you're going for a flank. That and having the Interrogation as an Ability is pretty shitty by itself.

You can buy solid headphones for ~$50, they only get better with every step up after that but it's not really necessary. I have a set of Audio Technica ATH-20X which have lasted me over a year now and sounds fantastic without costing loads. I couple that with a built in microphone on my shitty webcam I got for free years ago. You don't need to spend too much.

if you want to create content, videos for example, get headphones and a mic separate. if you're only looking to play, get a headset. As far as "gaming" headsets go, HyperX Clouds have a really high quality microphone and good surround audio quality. Astros are the stereotypical xXxMLGxXx headsets but they're pretty decent despite the meme.

Personally I think the HyperX Cloud II is my favorite in the "gaming headset" category, and a lot of Siege ESL players use it if that means anything to you.

I bought HD518s and a MIC-1 about a year ago for £80 total. Previously, I had had the Corsair Vengeance 1500s for the same price. The Vengeance had to be RMA'd four times for faults during its lifetime, and gave pretty poor sound quality for games and other media.

The 518s I now have are fantastic for video games, and work great for other media as and when I need them, and the mic is even great for streaming, let alone VoIP.

Headsets are headphones and a mic. But you pay a premium for that privilege and it shows in the inferior quality of the parts you get.

buy some varied operators and see what you like to do. Rook is a good choice because you just put the armor pack down and you're done while his MP5 is a great weapon. Thermite is always wanted on attack, but until you're confident you won't be picked off in the first 30 seconds I wouldn't use him. Thatcher might be a good choice to try out, just buddy up with Thermite and EMP the wall he's breaching if it's electrified or jammed.

I personally bought up characters, but if you find a particular weapon you like, adding attachments can be more valuable when you get the chance to play them.

Also the biggest hurdle to getting into the game for me was map knowledge. Pay really close attention to what walls are destructible, where people like to enter from and hide, and especially take note of the routes around the objective, how to flank someone in a position etc.
