It helps that a surprising amount of relatively good looking BC mail, leather and cloth gear seems to be elf gear when seen in the world.

Two of the dungeon mail sets are worn by belfs in Shattered Sun and Kael'thas' troops, a lot of the good looking purple weapons are elf gear, the raid robes are magister robes, and felstalker (the leatherworking purples) usually show up as part of the field uniform for thalassian forces. Even one of the raid plates is what Kael'thas' elites wear.

The only problem is helmets.

DH DPS is rarely the issue, it's DH tanks

If you're doing Mythics, which you ought to be by now, things live long enough to get stacks. Bosses easily live long enough to get 20 stacks, and its very easy to get 20 with curse of the dreadblades. Cannonball barrage isn't good unless it's on a gigantic pack, and it's largely useless in a boss fight.

Ghostly strike is better, but not so much better that you can't take quick draw if you just like the convenience.

if it's on something that NEEDS to die fast, go with one buff, if it's on a prolonged boss burn, keep on rolling. yes you want 2 buffs, but there will be times when you've got to pump out those Run Throughs whether you like it or not. If for instance, a boss is only going to be alive for 10-15 more seconds, dont' just stand there rerolling, finish it off and RT it death and just end the fight.
