You can get it for a lot cheaper than the price on the site if you look around. Ask in /tesog/ if you are interested.

Its a decent game and is worth buying at a discount price and subbing (the subbing unlocks all dlc as long as you are subbed, and gives you a monthly amount of cash shop money too for costums or whatever, also gives you a secondary crafting inventory thats infinitly big and lets you store all the random ingredients and crap you find in there and not clutter up your inventory)

I got tired of it pretty fast though. Its pvp is boring pretty quick, though it was fun for the couple weeks i played it. As a three faction rvr it is on the right basic formula but the pvp area is just so badly designed and boring, and the mechanics of sieging are so restrictive, you see basically the same hand full of locations getting ninjad back and forth, with few good fights.

Lorewise its not as raped as /v/ will tell you, and its interesting if you are a fan of tes. Its a game like swtor, its good to play through, but once you are done you are done. Not really a long term mmo. But worth buying on sale and then subbing for a while.

Grinding is a marathon. It takes conditioning to be a good grinder, and the ability to spend your bodies energy efficiently so you can grind longer than anyone else. Mental training as well to avoid burning out.

Even understanding of ergonomics so you dont hurt yourself. A grinder is far more likely to suffer a real legitimate injury than some casual who pvps 2 hours a day and thinks hes being hard.

Grinding taxes your body physically as well as mentally and requires preparation. Its far more like a real sport than pvp.

The point is the final outcome, winning, is based on several skills. Grinding is a skill, meta knowledge is a skill, and button pressing is a skill.

Deficiencies in one can be made up in another. You can fight ones strength with strength in another. All three are part of the final outcome, and they are interchangeable. It is valid to spend time getting better at either of them. So whether you spend your time reading forums, grinding, or practicing on combat dummies, all are going towards making you stronger overall.

The point im making is its silly to complain that someone whos not as good at one manages to beat someone whos better than them at that one thing, with out taking the other two in consideration. If you are a 7 in button pushing but a 5 in grinding and meta knowledge, getting beat by someone whos a 2 in button pushing but a 10 in grinding and meta knowledge is a simple mathematical truth of 22 being a bigger number than 17.

They are all skill, and IMPORTANTLY they are all 'pvp' skill, because they are all skills that go towards winning in pvp.

I took points out of sideways slash because i was using it way too much and wanted to start getting good at shield dashing, but ill probably add them back in the future. Ive still got most of the skill point quests to go back and do once i hit 56

Im on the fence about just counter, its nice but my sharp light is augmented with life steal and its my basic spammy attack for recovering DP/HP, im not sure if i need just counter as well, but i thought it would be useful if i tried fighting something i needed to be more cautious with. I could lower it down to level 2 with no flow for the purpose of SoJ 3 chaining instead. I kind of like it because i put it on my hotbar and enter guard mode automatically with an attack so i know im actually in guard mode. Doing it with Q is difficult since im shit.

I basically cycle between SoJ 3 chains into insta shield throw.
I do charge-soj3-shield throw-ds-soj3-shield throw-piercing light-soj3-shield throw-counter2-counter2spacebarthing-soj3-shieldthrow

If i get low on hitpoints or DP i just spam piercing light and it gets me up to full within a few seconds.

I did have punishment maxed for a long time, and plan on raising it again in the future, its just my gears not really good enough for me to bother tyring to pvp right now, so i wanted to spec into things to let me farm better.

My plan after getting 56 is to go do all the skill point/bag quests i missed and farm and upgrade my gear and have money and wait for the lance to come out. Since i will need to use a respec at that point anyway i just want to be able to farm and do daily bosses as smoothly as possible with my skill build.

If all you care about is efficiency then you should not have rolled with valkyrie. By that logic, if you make a ranger and you'll save lots of time in the long run. You're using shield throw, you're not dying so there's not much left to improve.
