Honestly, the triple slam wasn't much more threatening, but to avoid that you needed 75 stamina as opposed to 50 currently. Shoulder slam > Tail slam is Zinogre's most dangerous string right now.

I know lances do whatever is the highest damage type to that body part; for example if the body part takes more damage to slashing you'll do slashing damage, and vice versa making it a very versatile weapon. But can any lance users tell me if it's reliable for cutting tails? Beyond whether most tails will take slash or impact is it really even easy enough to lay the needed hits on the tail of most moving monsters?

The lance's moveset just isn't as good as weapons with overhead strikes. Straight up if the monster is too big you might not be able to hit the tail unless it's knocked down. I mean MAX Enraged Guard and Corkscrew Jam, but eh.

Upgrading it with high rank parts would be no different than just crafting it with the parts to begin with. You might want to switch weapons and just craft a new set of high rank gear, instead of having to farm out the low rank set first, then upgrade it into a high rank set.

No, I solo up to 9 with a melee weapon and tried lbg on 10 for shits and giggles.

For melee weps, you aim for the legs, preferably his right legs because that's side of the smaller claw. Hitting the legs will trip him, giving you access to the face and when the legs break it will become a decent 35 hitzone for melee weapons.

Also, bring sonic bombs and use it on him when he does his guard stance.

The shield thrust (for elemental phial spamming) and 2 hunter arts (absolute evasion + limit breaker). Being able to refresh the red shield with X+A after a shield thrust is nice too.

You could argue adept does the same with benefits of the adept guard/evade, but in elemental focused builds precision is important to exploit the weakzones, and I find it difficult to aim the adept elemental bursts, so I prefer Guild.

Not for me. I fought Giggi the other day and it kicked my ass because I forgot Herbal Medicines, fuck super poison. It was way more fun than any khezu I've ever fought.

I was a 3U babby and Giggi was my first wall. I barely knew how to play and was running around with the starter GS and armor. I remember triple carting a bunch and even timing out as it limped from area to area because I couldn't kill it. I eventually got better and Giggi is one of my favorite monsters. Khezu a shit!

Kelbi horns. You get two from the quest rewards, and it literally takes less than a second to turn in.

Village 1, Prescription something-or-other. Turn in two horns. It IS random, but I got them without much effort. Then you can just buy up like 300 stones. Make sure you have the DLC downloaded for it.
