I expect Atlantis and Oceania to just get the fuck out of the water ASAP since they have decent amphibious options. One thing I noticed just looking over the mod is that some of the prices/research levels seem janky. For instance, there's a construct available to arco at Cons 3 for 12 E gems that most early game armies just won't hurt. Like, at all.

EA R'lyeh's items are really, really great. Like, a W booster + air breathing item for aboleths for 5 W gems.

Their combat spells are similarly amazing. They have an AoE 1 Enslave and an AoE 1 mind burn which are both pretty great given that they can take mind lords on land very easily now. They also have a BIG AoE high damage AN, MRN spell which is basically a better Shadow Blast that also requires no gems, but it requires W/A to cast so only some of their slave mages can cast it. I'd say it's definitely worth making them com masters for. Then they have a battlefield-wide version of it which is MRN-easy, but for a spammable RoS that only affects enemy troops, well, it's pretty fuckin' good.

The summons are a bit odd. I haven't played with them extensively, but they basically let you spend pearls to get a random low level human mage. Possibly worth for diversity I guess. They have a global that then lets you recruit them for cataclysm-style mage recruitment I guess, but it's an expensive astral global so IDK if it can reasonably be used in a real game without an arcane nexus or somesuch up first.

The E/S guys are great and cheap but require an E/S mage on land, so I guess an E-random slave mage with boots will be your go-to. The younger ones might actually be better because they get 2/square, but both have VERY high damage AP life draining attacks on a high hp/prot chassis, so they're a top tier summon compared to vanilla stuff for SURE.

Since all nations get new stuff and R'lyeh's vanilla stuff isn't too hot on land, it's hard to say if it's OP as a package, but it's definitely very strong and I'd say it comes close to a national rework given how much R'lyeh will be dependent on exploiting the new stuff.

So if there's a Fire Hell and an Ice Hell, why isn't there a Storm Hell and an Earth Hell?

Crown of Pyriphologos is VW on steroids, heat 3 gives you size 6 fire elemental assassins in your dominion as well as FREE flame spirits (yes the F3 mages that generate a fire gem a turn).
I combined this with Rivers of Lava (Abysian global that creates tonnes of permanent gem sites for fire and earth in your own dominion + MORE HEAT), and suddenly fire is stomping everything.

It also has so many SC chasis it's stupid, the Not-Balrogs are obscene and with Lava rivers giving so many fire gems the last ME blitz ended with something Gandalf would have shit his pants over.

Ys is completely separated from the rest of the deathpuddle, and only borders one independent underwater province. If they want access to the rest of the pond, they need to rush Pelagia's cap.

Vampires are strong troops. Unless the enemy has high readiness to target them or their commanders in magic phase, I wouldn't hesitate using them as raiders as long as they can retreat to your dominion the turn afterwards. Of course, what they really excel at is defence (which in itself is a strong offensive strategy as it allows you to largely neglect defence from your regular armies).

Getting in the water is a good idea, you've got great mages as well as a pretty solid thug chassis down there.
You want to get Tengus and any summon that works well as a combat troop fairly quickly, as your regular dudes are kinda shit for their price.
Most of your summons don't neccesarily need a bless, though earth minor is great for the spellcasters.

For sure, if especially if you're Bogarus. Almost all your national troops either suck or are costly and overencumbered, so supplementing them with indies is a good idea. Hoburgs and amazons are to be treasured and forted.
Crossbows are also good to have in general in case you accidentally end up against something with high protection that you don't want to get near (read: heavy cavalry)
Your militia archer IS one of your best units for his price, though.

You need F/D to get dai oni. Not sure why you added E4. Always take Growth 3, and Prod 3 is probably worthwhile. Step 1:
Leave the vast majority of the markata behind to serve as chaff for future squads. You don't need 22 of them
Step 2: Put a small number of atavi (2-3) near the front of your army set to guard commander. These will lure the enemy army in towards them.
Step 3: Put the bandar and the rest of the atavi on a flank set to hold-attack Large Enemy Monsters to focus the elephants.
Step 4: Put the small markata squad directly in FRONT of your commander. They will walk forward and get between the attacks and your commander. When an elephant is engaged in melee, it will trample the targets it's engaged with. High defense markata can actually dodge trample attacks fairly well, so they can keep the elephants busy for a few turns if you mess up where exactly you positioned your -actually-hit-things- squad and the elephants would otherwise actually engage your commander

There is no counterplay to Ermor quickly capturing a few provinces, then huddling up and turtling in his capital while casting cancer globals. You can not siege it because of the sheer amount of skeletons contained within, you can not domkill it because every gem they spend post-globals goes towards priests and they have an awake pretender there, you can barely even fight it at the very early point in game they are able to get their globals out.

Top all of this off with some fun supply issues (Ermor requires at least construction 2 and N3 or construction 4 and N1 for most nations to even consider fighting them), and you have pretty much a ball of concentrated cancer killing off the world that nobody can do anything about, yet the cancer will never actually go on to win the game because if it hasn't gone AI by the time its autism wears out, people will have researched to the point where its armies are irrelevant. All the games in which I've seen MA Ermor or Lemuria have seen them quickly isolated, beaten early or simply disappear into irrelevance, to be quickly annihilated by superior powers in the midgame.

I don't understand why they are considered powerful. They are simply mildly annoying, but the amount of minuses they have is astounding. Research is crap, troops are nothing to write home about, they are unflexible as hell, they need quite a bit of gold to be effective (fort+temples), their summons are again nothing special.... and they require a ton of good diplo to avoid turn 5 crusades when people realize where they are.

How the fuck they even WIN games? The only reason I can think of is that players are so bad at diplo that can't coordinate the simplest alliance to get rid of them efficiently.

The real problem with Ermor, which gets repeated time and time again, is that if you neighbor Ermor you have the lose-lose proposition of fighting for barren land while other players get the opportunity to snowball or letting Ermor grow. With Nazca and other powerhouse nations, you actually get rewarded more for executing the early game properly to keep them from getting out of hand, whereas the people best off (even when Ermor's neighbors do it right) are the people that don't border Ermor at all.
