I've got a problem with the Quest "Warble of a smitten knight". I can't complete the race because shooting targets with crossbow simply doesn't register, they don't fall and I don't get extra time so the race is impossible. Which means I can't do the duel.

I'm searching for help but all i'm finding is some other bug with the quest where you can't actually move, but that's not the bug i'm having!

Can anyone help?

You can win the race without hitting the shooting targets, if it is only those that are bugging out. Just make sure to really go as fast as you can at any given moment and hit all the dummies. I won the race while shooting I think one target - aiming just took too much time, I found the dummies to be far easier.
At the "crossroad" in the last third of the race you should go right, I think the left one had more shooting targets, right is more dummies, IIRC.

While The Witcher 2 had true grey choices, it was far shorter and had less memorables moments than TW3. It's a good exemple of quantity vs quality. I can name on the top of my head about ten good quests and a lot of good moments in TW3, but from TW2 ? I remember the main quest being superb and a lot of good moments in it, but that's it.

Even if TW2 had great choices, they weren't a lot of consequences that you could see. Apart from Iorveth vs Roche path, of course.
It all boils down to whether or not you kill Letho, whatever path you choose. While in TW3, there are multiple ending for the main quests depending on what choices you made (most of them are dumb I'll give you that) during your playthrough, for most of the secondary quests too.

Maybe we're having a misunderstanding here, since I did get what you were trying to point out. To me, ending =/= ending slate =/= last minute before the credits roll. TW2 does have different endings, just the very last scene is sort of sam-ish. Killing Letho or not is not the ending of the game, you could probably view it more as an epilogue, I guess. It is in no shape or form the "only" choice that matters?

It is only with the beginning with TW3 that your choices are rendered irrelevant, which is a mess-up on the part of the devs (not that I really expected otherwise).
