It's a cash cow and still one of the most played games on Steam. Plus it's been proven tiny shit like animation fixes takes about eight minutes. There's already a lot of community content including entire updates that they didn't have to make themselves. I think everyone gets that it's not a priority at this point but Valve definitely could put just a little bit more effort, which still isn't much, than they have been recently and the community would be happier while they could rake in more cash. Or they could just hand it off to someone else to do all that grunt work. Either way they're seriously squandered the game's potential. Look at WoW, it's even older than Team Fortress 2 and Blizzard still gave it attention for its new expansion and a few weeks of priority over its shiny new baby.

okay ive figured something out but now i have yet another fucking problem, the community servers. i get into a game and then a fucking popup menu shows up. i cant click it or anything but it says "a game in progress is available, leave / rejoin". if i just click buttons in the background it will work, if i press continue and then pick a character i get into a fucking game. but the mouse wont fucking work like it expects me to interact with this popup that wont disappear and i cant interact with. if i press escape i go to the menu, if i press resume game wow it fucking kicks me instantly without any error or boot message as if i left on my own. this has happened 3 times, the wait limits are long as fuck i am pissed off what do i do?

Man the game isn't dying. Why do people say this like it means anything. If you mean people are not playing tf2 as much as others games then maybe that's true. If you're saying that people are not playing tf2 at all that's not true. If you're saying the attention valve is giving to the game is less than it used to be then that's true. If you're saying the gameplay itself in game is bad then that's not true. The game is balanced for the most part. People are still playing the game. Who cares if people are playing other games; we're playing this game and that's all that matters for it to not be dead.
