It also means that the enhanced Q's bonus scaling rarely plays a role because of how it rounds up.

Still doable since he has an assassin curve rather than an AD curve, you just need to make sure your support is a engage one and Janna is banned. If you fulfill those you can get very fed.

The laning phase is either powerfarming or doing the same sequence of button presses over and over again:
q, then w to get the bonus movespeed, then e to catch up to your opponent, get a couple autos in, then either fight if you have the upper hand, or just quickly go back and heal up. Over. And over. And over.

In skirmishes, use your e to either block incoming enemies or prevent them from escaping, ult the tankiest guy, and go ham on the carries.

This is basically how trundle works in every single situation.

The ways you can utilize your e are very interesting, but the rest of your kit is so incredibly one-dimensional, it makes the experience much more boring than it could be. I'm not asking for eight kind of abilities on one champ, but it would be nice to get something else, something more flexible.

I've gone against Plats and Diamonds in bot and whole there is a huge gap difference between a low silver/bronze and a Diamond/play, that line is very blurred when you are a Gold or high plat.
To me a Plat player is just a lucky fella or someone who plays ranked a lot.

If you're lacking in one area, you can balance it out by being exceptional in another one.
Not all players in a tier are the same; I've met Gold players with the mechanical skill of a Platinum, but the attitude and decision making of a Silver.

Of course, mechanical skill remains the main thing you need to climb, but it's not the only one. You won't climb much if you play your champion like a god but make shitty decisions and surrender/quit half your games.

This being said, the differences between entire tiers are definitely noticeable both in mechanical skill, decision making and attitude, it's just that you can't judge it from one game, especially not from Normal Games.

LoL is a game that inflates the "skill/knowledge" aspect by having literally 100+ champions so that only those who grind through the game can learn all the theoretical lane matchups/combos.

However, since Riot has systematically removed anything fucking mattering before 25 minutes the bar has been lowered to silly stupid low levels to play at top levels of play.

Draft and pick off potential (after 25 minutes) matter more than player skill once you get passed the initial competence of playing the game which for a lot of players doesnt happen because

1. Nothing in game really teaches you the fundamentals, so you can literally play for years with bad habits
2. Certain champs teach ridiculously bad habits that can cause you to stagnate literally forever such as Zed, Caitlyn, Gnar, yasuo, etc.
3. Balance patches almost randomly flip power curves of champs or certain subgroups of champs in ways that are difficult for newer players to understand (the number of Nasus mains "stuck" in Silver/Gold attests to this)

Literally the only thing that keeps this grind shitfest afloat is LITERALLY burden of knowledge. Of non-intuitive kits like Ekko, Azir, and the like that completely outclass older designs almost effortlessly but give the illusion of depth.

That is part of it. But really its because the "skill gap" would almost evaporate from diamond to gold players, for example. Because most of that trash believes that just playing X champ 10000 times will somehow overcome their shitty positioning, map awareness, etc.

And hiding all of this behind pay/grind wall aggravates the problem.

And LoL at "high tiers" is an utter shit game to play. Worse now than anything else I have experienced since season 3. Coin flip pickoffs that lead to game ending deathballs because there is literally no consistent way to end a game before 25 minutes with any lead unless you tilt someone into leaving.

Fuck this garbage season. Riot literally introduced season 7 in the middle of season 6. But we need a season 8 ASAP.

why are there champions like mf who are hardcountered by a lot of shit and require a specific draw to work and then shit like azir or yasuo who play their own game and can be played into literally anything

not as a current state (because current azir is dogshit) but design wise
azir has no real clearcut counters and yasuo just dashes around and ignores you, his early game is also deceptively powerful for a so called "hypercarry"

meanwhile with MF you need to pick her into a lane she wins, make sure neither braum nor yasuo are open and also preferably be against a reasonably squishy team, and have somebody that can guarantee you either a wombo combo or safety while channeling

Azir and Khazix suffer(ed) from overloaded syndrome where the only way to make them 'reasonable' was to trash literally all of their numbers at the same time. And if there is even a hint of one of those numbers not being trash then they instantly outclass a dozen other champs.

There is as good a reason to rework a champion for being unbalanceable broken instead of ignored dogshit (like Urgot)

I definitely agree on this, but Riot seems to think that snowballing games is "toxic" and that teams need to "consistently prove their dominance" to win... they should just make Dragon buff back at dealing additional damage to minions and towers; hopefully next season's changes will bring new stuff to the table.
