You're right on me liking open world games, I enjoy those a lot. Being able to explore the setting freely to some extent is always nice.

I try not to limit myself though, so I play niche and AAA stuff, both western and Japanese and regardless of genre, if I think I'd enjoy it. But ultimately I tend to lean more towards Japanese stuff because they interest me a little more.

It's worth noting that all of those (except God Eater) are sequels or part of series I've already played and enjoyed though.

2 is the best in my opinion, and the move from PS2 era Yakuza to PS3 era is phenomenal. One of the best vidya experiences I've had.

5 is free on PSN so grab it.

I saw the 20 minutes of gameplay they put up and it looks pretty good IMO. Only questionable thing is if Online Tailing is still in, since the ambient multiplayer stuff will mean tailing might be a bit awkward to implement.

Gravity Rush. If you have a PC or PS3 play Metro 2033 vanilla, it's a far better experience. Redux completely casualized the stealth to make it suitable for Last of Us and CoD fans/

In the vita the swords skills use mana
On the PS4 the mana is used for the buffs
So you can basically never stop attacking in the PS4 version with the skills so you can do pretty cool rotations and relay less in auto attacks

Migus is probably best value with that amount of songs. GE2 is a fairly generic MonHun clone but quite long assuming you don't mind the grinding which comes with it. GB3 isn't massively long and will really depend on how much you like gendums, customisation is really good though and enough to spend hours on alone.
