She was an implant that was supposed to monitor and safeguard Big Boss and was supposed to mediate negotiation to become friends again with Zero, who regretted driving him away. She was supposed to act autonomously under those orders, but received new ones later from Skullface that made her be a combatant.

It's a really sad story. She starts off as a super trained hardass, and is the only agent that is allowed to meet Zero in person. She's his most trusted agent, and he sends her under orders to act autonomously to infiltrate MSF, keep the gears greased, provide start-up assets, and monitor him only reporting in when something huge happened. Zero is never informed of anything and so assumes it's all business-as-usual because Skullface has begun to cut Zero off from resources, intercept comms, and give false orders. She gets told that she will have to fight Big Boss, which directly contradicts orders that she was given before, but Cipher's word is law. When she questions who she's talking to because of the radical nature of the orders, where before Zero seemed sympathetic, she's again threatened with "a fate worse than death."

Her coping mechanism is to try and distance herself from MSF emotionally, but it doesn't work. She ends up loving MSF and especially Big Boss as a father figure (with a dating mission being debatable regarding canon but I lean towards it being as canon as the Monster Hunter stuff). She also sees Chico as a little brother, and when he catches her sabotaging Zeke so that she won't have to fight Big Boss and the MSF, she can't shoot him in the back even though it would make all of her problems disappear.

After weeks or rape and torture at a black site meant specifically for it, where torture is not only their forte but their explicit specialty, she never would've broken if it weren't for the sake of Chico and the promise of Skullface helping Big Boss incidentally by taking out Zero/Cipher, who she still thinks was the one giving her orders when she was at MSF.

If you lay Paz and Chico together in GZ, Chico will start apologizing to her over and over, Paz will shush him and sing to him while giving him a hug.

When she realizes there's a second bomb where her womb was, she dives out of the chopper.

She was a good girl.

I can kind of agree. It's this uncanny difference between art sets. Handdrawn portions, promotional hi-res renders that were chopped and screwed, and posed Peace Walker in-game assets all mashed together into an instagram filtered mess.

If they'd just hand-drawn them all or 3d rendered them all it would've been much better, but we were never supposed to see them in such high resolution.

I think this one is my favorite.

Judging by his leddit comments they do some investigation on people who were reported. Also just so you know - they cannot reliably detect a person cheating on fob unless it is obvious on the log (insta-teleports, no alerts, multidisables in the same second, etc). Speaking of cheating. Cheating in gmp and resources is almost mandatory when you start getting grade 8 weapons. Gmp fee is fine since you get milllions from fobs, but resources are insane. Not only you need to steal them, you also need to process them which takes months. You'll have to play 24/7 just to get an option to develop that one gun and then it will take 12 days to actually equip one for 7k fuel. Repeat x∞.

Even in MGS1 during the revolt, Ocelot was memeing on him the whole time. He was informing the Patriots, he killed Sigint on purpose and was like "uhh, sorry boss lelel", he took the Rex plans and then had the place blown up while assuming Liquid would still be inside.

Don't kid yourself, Ocelot cared about no one but Snake (that is Big Boss) throughout the entire series. MGS is just the story of two men's love for each other when it comes down to it.

I'll readdress the matter more seriously.

"Manliness" as a whole is subjective. What makes a "man?" Typically it would be masculine traits, the kind of things that are bolstered by testosterone. This would include courage for example. At various times he's shown courage and cowardice, but his cowardice outweighs his courage. He was only "courageous" when all the cards were in his favor or when practicing deceit. For one thing, it may be argued that it was courageous to be willing to deceive Snake and Miller about the inspection. It could also be considered cowardice to betray MSF and the men that stood beside him, saved him, etc all this time to save his own skin. Consider also, again, the way he murdered Strangelove. Choosing not to act is, in itself, action. He didn't lock her in, but he chose to let her suffocate and die.

The straight thing I have no actual basis for, he's only expressed interest in the opposite sex, I just genuinely fucking hate him and enjoy slandering him.

His designs that he supposedly made himself, which I would also cast doubt upon because again most of his best shit he stole, were his wheelchair, bionic legs/wheelchair combo, and D. Walker. Even then the bionic legs are based on Peace Sentinel designs.

In Peace Walker, he was pretty good looking. In MGSV he looks like the rat fuck he is. A mix between Michael Jackson and a weasel. I'm all for MGSV not being canon, a ton of shit flies in the face of like 30 years of established canon and there's lot of evidence for it being wonky shit. Stuff like barcodes in the water, or the cassette for Operation Intrude N313 being the MSX copy of Metal Gear.
