The main reason RTC gets into massive fucking fights on all his teams (like w/ Kuroky in old Secret) and the reason he constantly butts heads with Peter when he's on EG is because he backseat captains so much. The thing with dota is that it's never gonna be commercially/mainstream marketable for one reason.

There's no commercial breaks they can load into the game. With CSGO, which you can see with ELEAGUE, is that not only can you run a ton of banners but there's plenty of opportunities to cut to commercials. Halfway mark during maps, numerous times during commentary, all that shit. With Dota you're committed to 30-60 minutes of pure gameplay.

MoonMeander confirmed on his stream that everyone in the NA scene was in limbo partly because quote "They are praying to god that they would get picked up by PPD" as they know PPD is one of the only actually good captains in NA. More fuel to the fire of PPD making another team in the ashes of EG.
