I just started doing dungeons with the finder and I have no idea what the fuck is going on. No one talks, we just run and follow the group leader who appears to always be the tank and beat down anything he attacks. It feels like the enemies do no damage at all. My screen keeps getting pop ups when someone loots blue level gear. Is this what dungeoning is? If not how do I dungeon?

Also, how long do raids usually last time wise?

The fact that it still has players means nothing about the state of the game. I tried to play it again recently before Legion prepatch hit and it was complete garbage.

I played heavily in vanilla-wotlk and even played most of cata but that was the expansion that made me quit.

I shilled for it for a while, I don't get the negativity towards it, I guess maybe if you hate the stock look and hard too impatient to customize it. But I dropped it for legion for no particular reason, sort of because I already had things like nameplates, bags, mini map, disabled in elvui to run other addons for those things.

Back to using SUF, Dominos, and a meme raid frame addon my gm makes.I do miss the combat fade setting I could put on my ui frames and actionbars though.

It's not even about being mad. There's nothing anyone could do if someone is higher level than them. It's just becomes "well I better go use the bathroom or something until he fucks off" because of how large the difference between levels are. I don't even know why there is PvP between people that have more than 10 levels difference between them, because at that point a basic attack has a good chance of 1HKO the lower level person. So you'll be able to mog both separately, but you won't be able to combine different artifact appearances/colors.

I love when people talk about Blizzard like it's some sentient being.

It's a fucking companny, with a shitload of employees. The project snowballed into not only a successful game, it pretty much became one of the most profitable products in the history of the free market.

They weren't tasked only to produce a game, but also to keep a giant money monster alive somehow, and they had to give in to peer pressure and appeal the lowest common denominator to keep investor expectations.

It's just as shit as the pokemon series, rehash after rehash because that's what people want, and that's what sells, go see how well did the spinoffs sell compared to the main titles.

They know this game is doomed like Starcraft, it was a huge hit, but if they produce a newer product they'll not only bleed players, they'll also be commiting themselves into another project that will be seen as a failure if it can't be as successful as wow.

So the big issue is the playerbase, no the companny. You add hardcore content locked behind a quest and people complain they're not getting full value out of their sub, you provide progression via dailies and people complain it's a facebook game, you provide a grind and people complain the game is just a grind. People don't know what they want, and at the same time won't let you change the formula because it's annoying to change habits and learn things again.

I haven't played since WOTLK. Been reading up and found out they cut the class exclusive perks to normalize professions on WoD and that you can't use engineering stuff even on random BGs.

Any suggestions for a druid's professions? Not really for money making but best for pve/pvp if that's even a thing anymore when it comes to professions. Currently have mining and herbalism since I couldn't decide what to get and just thought I'd get mats. It's quite literally middle of the pack in every single respect outside of single target. It's dogshit in single target. The ONLY time you'll see an elemental shaman in top 100 guilds on progression is fights that need consistent AoE.

Ele isn't even that good in M+ dungeons which is where it should shine. The only thing it brings to M+ dungeons is mediocre AoE, strong burst with Ascendance, and a non-DR stun with Earthquake. There are specs that bring better AoE with better single target damage.

Elemental is fucking shit. That's not even accounting for the fact that maelstrom was obviously designed with Enhance in mind and got tacked onto Elemental so that it could have some "changes" when, in reality, Elemental is largely the same shit spec it was in WoD.

If you're not a early prog raider that's trying to down content quickly, no it doesn't matter. But if you are, damage break downs and priority damage potential of classes clearly matter because a raid roster needs to be as optimized as possible.

Do you get more gear for clearing the raid early?

Well yeah, you get more lockouts cleared, and thus more loot.

Do you get more gold?

Obviously, your guild can start selling clears earlier for easy passive dosh for just showing up to raid.

You can't do mythic crossrealm until certain amount of months I think, but it's fine for normal and heroic.

They're shit in dungeons, that's not their niche, it's not WoD they're not stacked aoe kings anymore because other classes are much better at it, they're actually a better version of destro or WoD AS shadow priest in that they have ranged cleave with a priority damage component, so fights like Heart of Corruption and Tichondrius where you don't necessarily have all the adds stacked, but you do have multiple targets out at a time they can pummel a priority target with more dps than single target specs are capable of. However it has the same downfall as shadow had in WoD, rubbish single target and the quicker your kills and the faster adds die the less relevant Ele becomes to the point where it's shit on farm.

The game is old, things have changed a lot, not only the engine is old, but also the playerbase has shifted entirely from the early expacs/release into a new generation.

The game became massively popular as it was very addictive, word of mouth along a shit ton of publicity took this game long ways. But it's like a gum, eventually it lost it's flavor and loses the appeal.

The game set a standard, and eventually not even itself could stay up to the standard it set. They kept fucking loyal players in the ass, and only cared about new customers, they had a boom of new players every time some recruit a friend reward was announced, and yet there was 0 rewards for loyalty (until that wolf sculpture but it was entirely random).

Tablets became a thing, people started demanding progression with minimal effort, people were content with shit like LFR and no one really cared about progression. Side content in Pandaria was bigger than all the side content the game had until that point, just to keep people hooked on the minipet and mount hunts.

Korean market has been suffering as well of this syndrome, people no longer give a fuck about being lvl 100 and no lifing games, they just want a mobile experience and do a bunch of dailies on a lot of shitty games, blow a bunch of money on the cash shop and get ahead of the curve.

It's really hard to surprise people anymore with their limited capabilities, nostalgia appeal won't necessarily bring wotlk customers back.

The only thing I think they can do is make old content relevant again, new content takes to long to produce and it evaporates in the blink of an eye for most of the playerbase, you don't only need to sell an xpac, you also need to keep people hooked on it somehow.
