What makes a weapon cool? I think we could agree that it's a combination of its history, how well it fits the spec, and of course, how it looks. Many of the Artifacts visually look pretty good, but how well they fit the spec or their history may be questionable.

This is especially true for the newly introduced Artifacts that are being newly introduced, since we don't know their history like we do Sheilun or Doomhammer for example. So that story needs to be told in order for us to be able to appreciate the weapon. As an example of this, check out the Holy Paladin weapon. I didn't expect it to be special. Its model doesn't stand out, and we know nothing of its backstory. But after learning a bit of the history behind the Silver Hand, it's easily one of the best in the game.

I think that you need to give some of these Artifacts a chance to tell you their story before you dismiss them. Many of them are really cool.
