I've watched pretty much all Souls videos he has done with the exception of the Bloodborne shit because I'm getting a PS4 for Christmad but even if he posted here he(like anyone else) is not beyond criticism or negative feedback even if said feedback is delivered via low blows. Dual katanas are actually pretty shit, hammers/axes are better thanks to their superior reach, damage and stamina damage, hyper armor, and ridiculously good knockdown attacks, they're great for crowd control and also have quick low stance moves that are useful for finishing off enemies, they have an extremely versatile moveset as opposed to Souls where big weapons are relegated to shitty, slow, horizontal swings
Spears are also much better than katanas

I beat all the bosses on NG+7 and I still think parrying bosses is a mistake because you can just put yourself safe until you bait the same attack you know the timing of over and over for super damage. When you attack in melee, you have to take into account how long your attack lasts and how the AI can react to that while you're stuck in animation.

It means instead of giving the full 15% boost like they do in PvE, the clutch rings only give a 7.5% boost to elemental damage of their type while giving an even higher physical defense penalty then what is advertised. Same for the Prisoner's Chain. The Ring of Steel Protection is also stealth nerfed for PvP and will only give like 4% more absorption at +2 despite what the stats screen will say.

I did some tests a while back, and the damage bonus for all rings is reduced from 15% to ~8%, while the increased damage stayed static at 10%. Keep in mind that's an 8% boost to just one portion of your damage (rip pure magic MLGS) but 10% more damage from all sources.

They're not really worth using, unfortunately.
