I've had a different problem with the cover system. If I quicksave and load while in cover, hitting the spacebar to finish the load will actually cause Adam to dash out of cover. This has lead to a few amusing instances of instantly being in a guard's range. Anyone else notice this?

That ending was mad disappointing, the whole 'ending' together was disappointing actually. The last mission felt great, felt like what I used to dream my PSDs would be like in my fucking head. But it felt like it was building to some grand finale, and then it just fucking ends.

That being said I still enjoyed the game, just started my NG+ actually. Just disappointed they were more concerned with teasing the sequel(s) rather than making a quality story arc. Also, Dr. is best girl.

Anyone have the devastator shotgun? Does it take your regular shotgun rounds or let you upgrade it with a laser?

It says it should accept weapon modifications and use 12 gauge cartridges, but I cannot switch it from the ammo it came with when I bought it to my 200+ shotgun rounds. Nor can I put any at tachments on it.

So either a merchant wasn't supposed to have it on sale this early and that specific version is bugged or they are all fucked and it's WEEW LAD EDIOS.

okay so in the first story mission where you meet Koller and he shows you your new hidden augmentations you get 2 free praxis points, right? So you activate one of your new augmentations and disable another one. However, after I was done talking to him I went into my augmentation screen and the disabled augmentation was unlocked again and I didn't invest any points into the experimental aug. The cult mission for example, I never triggered any alarms, resolved the entire situation peacefully without any casualties and the bonus I got was "Spin Doctor" which is 500exp. But no ghost or smooth operator.

And that's not counting augged pilots or drives). Which would be upwards of 171 million naturals and 57 million augged. That seems a little bit way too high to me but it's clear the death count was in the tens of millions.

I can't put my finger on what it is about this game that makes me hate it.

I really enjoyed Human Revolution but I'm now thinking about returning this. It's so boring, it's also too fucking easy on the Give Me Deus Ex difficulty.

I'm not from the Czech Republic but I did live in Prague for a year when did an exchange on my university course. Nothing about Prague in MD seemed familiar. I was really excited before the game came out because I hoped to recognise some of the areas. At least with Fallout 4 they kept most of the famous landmarks and had very rough similarities to the real Boston.

I don't think it was just the filter. The art design in general had a lot more personality than this game does. I think it's pretty telling that the first thing a lot of people thought upon getting to Prague was "it's just like City 17". Instead of creating characters and locations that take inspiration from other sources but still manage to feel fresh, design-wise MD just feels like shit we've seen a thousand times before.

Currently on my second run before I'm doing the no alarms (fuck GARM) I never asked for this run.
While I like the lethal augments (the exploding blade is fun) overall I find stealth much more entertaining. Also it barely changes anything going guns blazing everywhere. If all you lock yourself out of some sidequests, especially Dvali and stuff.

I don't know if it's news they can use, since I only broke in there later in the game, but Vault A has a pocket secretary about the bank being in some deep shit financially, I believe. That might be something they'd be looking for.

GARM facility near the electric tunnel - is it supposed to automatically trigger an alarm into permanent search? The game just auto-saved and my previous quicksave doesn't go back far enough to prevent this -- it happens right after Chikane's dialogue, no matter what, at a certain time.

it's good but remember that you are investing praxis points into an ability which basically just makes something easier that you could have done anyway if you know how to sneak properly. Those are points you could have spent on cybernetic legs, the rebreather, improved strength or other abilities that allow you to access areas that can not be accessed without those specific abilities. It's obviously a super strong ability but more a "nice to have" thing rather than a "you need this if you want to reach every hidden area and get all hidden items" kind of thing.
