Maybe it's just poor wording, but that's not how that works.
The first things hit by her basics get in-hand effects, nothing else does. Even if you don't crit on the first target, it doesn't even roll the chance to crit on anything else. It doesn't matter if it's forward or back, as long as it's the first target hit.

Not the original poster, but I don't see any point in buying the God pack unless you're a player who enjoys trying out all of them. I only play Gods that are appealing to me, and I haven't had any trouble buying them or their recolors at all, I'm sitting at 23,000 favor, but that's probably because the only God's that recently interested me are Terra and Izanami. Camazots will probably be cool, but again, it seems like a complete waste of money.

Keep in mind I've based this around solo lane because she becomes a viable alternative to warrior if done right.

Also I've heard people go vampiric shround and pots then sending bunny back for soul stone as soon as you can for a lot of sustain. I haven't tested this out, so I can't recommend it.

I usually go vampiric shroud with t1 boots and 3 pots of each to start with. Go whatever pots you want to start, just keep 100 gold spare.

I build pen boots then rush warlocks/Thoth. Depends if I'm squishy or running out mana. If it's a physical God facing you, just get BoV. If it's another Mage, chronos pendant. Then get second stacking item, whichever one you didn't get second. Obsidian should be fifth because it should start allowing abilities even on tanks to hit pretty hard. Lastly, get whatever CD item you didn't get for three. Unless they have like 4 magical, you should have breastplate. Obsidian can be replaced with whatever you want really. If you want lockdown go iso, if you want anti heal just get divine ruin, you get to 90% if you hit them with your 3 and have divine.

Relic is your choice, though if you want to be a true chang'e player don't be a whore and get aegis.

I wouldn't know for mid lane. I feel like if you go mid with her you lose a lot of melt or burst you get from a traditional Mage.
