Soldier 76 puts out more consistent damage over time. It's not unreasonable for him to get less final blows simply because he isn't getting auto-kills with High Noon or headshotting consistently.

McCree is in the same place as Roadhog. Great vs. single players, but more of a solo than a team player. Soldier 76 is a team player.

I actually boosted a mercy a few days ago so she could fly onto the point, revive and stay alive long enough to heal. It works surprisingly well, since she's moving at light speed everywhere and she has damage resistance while the team is reviving.
