I guess that's fair. My point with all of this is that it makes sense that HOTS builds on and expands and maximizes meme potential, because Blizzard games otherwise don't have enough pizzaz in characterization.

That's why we end up with characters like Nova or ETC, because they seem like they could be built up in fun ways. Their relevance to the main game isn't what is important.

Dude, what sustained damage? Illidan is sustained damage. Raynor is sustained damage. Hell, Falstad can be sustained damage. Ever since his release he has been all about burst damage, even if hotslogs puts anything that's not a mage under "sustained" category (early days valla used to 100-0 champions). Like I said, I don't even play him so I'm not being "a pussy ass bitch". It's just infuriating how the devs don't have any clue about what to do with him. First the cocktail nerfs, now multiple worgen buffs and nerfs. They should just rework him, because his kit is essentially for bursting.

Ah, now I get it. Salty over getting bursted down by enemy GMs? Here is a tip for his "sticking power": sneeze at him and he dies. That's literally his weakness. He is strong now because the meta revolves around dive comps. He is part of it, but not the only reason. He had high burst before, the difference was that diving champions were usually welcomed by a storm of spells and CC (and by CC I mean 6 seconds+ stunlocking).

Look anywhere and you'll see Greymane has always been described as a squishy diving burst assasin. If Blizzard wanted to do sustained with him, they missed by a long shot. and are using the wrong tools to "fix" it, since he is essentially another thing.

No, I'm saying the concept of a disengage ultimate won't work on Greymane as of his current status. It is not simply that GFTT is "too good" (even though it is really good), it is that MFTK is just plainly bad.

It could work if he was an actual sustained damage hero so that he could chose increased poke x finish off potential, but he would need to be reworked for that first since he has zero sustain or CC for that. Gutting one build isn't the way to do it. Unless you feel making the two heroics shit is good balance design...

I missed most of this season, but I was top 10 hotdogs for most of preseason. Standard stream: high quality gameplay with basic strategy commentary, replay analysis for anons, so on.

I know Blizzard tends to overproduce their games but I honestly didn't appreciate how much effort they put into making their models and their spells look reactive and genuine. Like, the difference between Sonya's visceral Leap animation and Darius half hearted dunk(?) is unreal.

I wonder how many hours of HOTS do I need to play over its lifetime to justify the amount of money I spent on it. I guess this is what WOW players think all the time.

Generally, if you know for a fact that if your ult will secure a kill, yes. In this game, the mere situation in which it becomes a 4v5 means so much more than the actual kill itself.

Catch somebody alone, ult and kill them, you're now at a 4v5 advantage. This means you can more effectively pressure a single lane and work down structures, but obviously be wary of not actually fighting within tower range and shit, moreso pick away at structures and all that. If you fight under towers, the damage of those towers makes up for the lack of 5th person.

Most importantly, spending your ult to score a pick and making it 4v5 means you can then force a fight and most assuredly win, and the one and only real reason to force a fight is to ensure that they have more people down when the objective spawns. When the objective spawns, and if your team has a number advantage of any kind, you win that objective. Say because you got a pick with your ult, you 4v5'd and killed one or two of them, this now means you have THAT much more room to apply pressure wherever you want. Objective, merc camps, the boss, or flat out structure pushing.

Number advantage means everything, and if it means spending your ult cooldown to get it, then who gives a shit. That ability will come off cooldown eventually, however those structures, that objective, those mercs, that pressure and exp advantage, that shit is in one way or another, permanent.

oh, I get it now. Marked For The Kill is the bad ult because a huge purple claw mark on top of someone's head means "don't ever attack this hero at all costs until that mark disappears" to my team.

I really hope so. I was shocked to see Gul'dan was designed mostly on his WC2 appearance so I could see the same happening for Gorefiend. I just hope he's kept on his mount and his abilities aren't too different.

He was the first with Death Coil but I don't see Blizz giving him that since it would function exactly like the Lich King's. Another would be Death and Decay, another first, but more people associate that with Kel'thuzad. Otherwise I could see him with Unholy Armor, Unholy Aura, Whirlwind, DnD, and maybe a few WoW abilities like Unholy Frenzy and Gorefiend's Grasp.
