It's a beat 'em up with MMO hotkeys and looting/stats.
Most of said hotkey skills actually flow into each other really nicely, moreso than I can say for other MMOs. It becomes less and less of a beat 'em up closer to level cap because you will spend less time mashing attack and more time using your hotkeys to do skill-based combos. Very rarely will you get to use normal attacks, and usually as filler.

If I had to describe it, the beginning makes it feel like skills are OP and eventually you would naturally learn that chaining skills is all it is about.

Going off of your later posts, DFO might be a fit if you focus on one character due to the daily fatigue limits (limited dungeons a day.) They usually take a while to deplete.
Give it a whirl, see if you like it. If you don't, drop it. I've played many MMOs and I can tell you that the moment you start to becoming disinterested, it will only become worse.

Yeah it uses those too; most of the time there are small benefits to using those.
I only ever use it when there isn't enough hotkey space for the skill(s), or if it's something like a buff. Some classes like a lot of the f. mages will need it since they have so many skills. Others not so much.

As much as I enjoy directional inputs being implemented into MMOs, the hotkeys allow for a quicker reaction time. Some of the benefits are negligible unless the skill in question has a very long cooldown where the -% bonus is actually helpful.

The Legacy wings are ugly and not really best-in-slot anyways.

Cosmetic Pack may or may not be worth it depending on you.

Beginner Pack is good for the price but you can live without it. The safe upgrades are what you want.

Play More Pack is decent until you hit endgame a week from now and regret it because you feel an obligation to use it but you don't want to.

Vanguard pvp feels like skyrim combat, in that it's two huge guys swinging wet noodles and there's no feeling of impact at all. I thought vanguard pvp would be an interesting experience with utilizing smash, but once you get the gist of it it doesn't feel satisfying to use at all. When you hit/juggle the opponents they just kinda float around randomly and it looks and feels like garbage to play.

At least pve feels decent.

tactician's contract for HS-1 friends. I guess you could also use a halidom or something for another +1 but it's not really worth it

Gae Bolg's CD will be about 63 seconds (56 if you use gigantic presence) meaning you get to use it every 33 or 26 seconds thanks to MV (assuming it still has the bug where it resets all skill CDs rather than just 45- skills)

you also get a potential free use of it every 20 seconds if you just spam Land Runners, which should have a CD of approximately negative twenty seconds with this build. it's 50/50 if you only use land runners and GB, so on average it's another use every 40 seconds

I can't remember, but Amnesia stone ring MIGHT go off CD when you remove it? if so, that's a chance every 10 seconds rather than every 20 seconds

anyways that's basically the maximum possible gae bolg and it's still not as fast as KON

you can also use hell march as often as possible in order to "skew" the odds of amnesia ring in the favour of a strong skill rather than land runner, but that's not exactly a Kon build

Get level 80 Halidom armor, you can stop at 4 pieces if you want, you only really benefit from the +Crit damage at 5 pieces. Get the 80 gauntlets too if you don't have anything better, it gives +1 to all your skills except Hurricane Superplex. The gauntlets are pretty cheap on the Auction House right now, though the equipment ratings are low.

3 Piece BURST OVERLOAD for that easy +10% grab attack strength on Unstoppable Grab buff, worth it. I think 6 piece Grave Slammer is recommended over the other sets with what you could fill your equipment with because of the Spiral and Cyclone Suplex buffs, but it's preference IMO except for Terror Firma, don't do it.

From those boxes, you shouldn't get the Magic Stone, and there's a questline that gives you the Necklace, Ring, and Shoes of a Chronicle set just for doing it, so that's your Burst Overload pieces. Check the other sets and see if you like anything, or just get Grave Slammer pieces.

Generally Elven's chrons really suck. It's really not worth it to bother unless you really have problems with the chain rush in which case why are you playing Elven at all. I'd recommend Gracia or Sea God.
