My computer can't play SFV. For some reason it keeps dropping my connection to the online/server so all I can do is play offline mode. Every time I relog in it lasts long enough for like 2 rounds before disconnecting me again. I only have connection problems with this game.

God damnit man, trying to get into fighting games was possibly the biggest mistake of my vidya life. I want to actually be decent and have fun matches with my friends at college. I want to be able to at least help newbies out whenever they ask for questions.

Why can't I be better than this when I've been playing for months now? Why do I always end up sucking at any fucking competitive game I get into. Why can't I ever improve above a basic understanding of something, god fucking damnit this is just making me depressed now.

I always ALWAYS screw up specials at least twice every match because I either press the buttons too soon or I didn't do the input correctly.

U's are the worst specials because I always end up jumping.

In SFV though I literally cannot do EX moves most of the time because I can't press the buttons and do the direction pad at the correct time.

Consistency beats flare. If you can do okay combos that at least put you in favorable situations that's good. It's better to have a mid damage Hard knockdown combo that you can land consistently rather then a high damage one that you struggle with and if you fail you are put at a disadvantage

So I've made a list of buffs that would take Potemkin from garbage to decent. inb4 crybaby scrubs whine about low tier grapplers again.

Mandatory
- Give 2S vacuum property, a la Accent Core (this alone would fix the majority of issues this character has)
- Make uncharged Heat Knuckle drop opponent at Potemkin's feet, a la the GGXX series (As it stands, uncharged HK is useless 99% of the time. This would give it a purpose, and help fix Potemkin's god awful midscreen pressure)

Nice but not required
- Make 6P JCable (Would allow a consistent, powerful follow up combo on the entire cast, and make said combo far less spacing dependent)
- Make 2D Special Cancelable (Once again, a way to allow Potemkin to keep up pressure, mostly via Hammerfall Breaks during blockstrings)
- Extend 5P hitbox downwards to hit crouchers (Would give Potemkin a truly spammable jab, and a better option to perform tick-throws with)

Not needed but would be welcome
- Allow FDB to flick supers, a la the GGXX series (This would be fun, but it would probably require the other, similar moves in the game to be buffed in the same way for the sake of consistency)

The thing is, from what Haunts said, we can imply that it detects who has ragequitted by seeing who is still connected to the server after the match is interrupted, since the player who ragequitted is now offline and the other player isn't that is easy to detect. The problem is when the server itself disconnects, what does it do then since now both players are disconnected? Apparently they don't handle that case because Capcom.

nope. all the execution just comes with time, particularly the movement will. your juggles can literally just be launch, jab string, ender; or launch, jab string, bound, ender. you can move pretty freely, but remember that you have to dash, not walk.

the info will also come relatively easily by playing because you just recognize moves and strings and learn how to block them. you can also look up a couple of punishers (one fast one, one launcher) to try out when you think something looks punishable. there are plenty of visual cues to help out with that.

of course, this requires some preliminary info via a basic idea of your character and the general systems of the game. and that's not hard to come across or wrap your head around.
