Currently Demo is the only spec that builds them somewhat consistently, and it can and should stay this way. Build 4, blow hand, empower imps, build shards. It makes perfect sense for demonology, it's consistent. Demo has other major problems but resource management except for mana isn't one.

Affliction is shard starved often, making Contagion an absolutely pointless talent as single UA doesn't really do much damage and using UA for maintenance similar to what Haunt used to be is just retarded.
You can choose between keeping it up for as long as the RNG allows you to have at least one shard and for as long as your haste doesn't ramp up, but deal shit damage, or you can blow all UAs to get one uber-UA that actually feels like it's doing something.
I pick Soul Effigy knowing full well putting UA on that is a waste of a shard. To alleviate that I can use Soul Conduit which is made of most retarded RNG and also locks you out of consistent dps talents for minor benefits.
Just bring back old Haunt jesus fuck and drop this retarded idea of UA requiring a soul shard or ramping up.
Affliction warlock should be allowed to keep _ALL_ dots up on the ebin effigy if he's good enough to manage that.
He should ALSO be allowed to keep HAUNT up on effigy and main target.

Destruction is idiotic. You will never have reasonable single target damage, because then you blow cleave fights the fuck up. Remove Havoc and Rain of Fire. Make Fire and Brimstone the way Warlocks cleave and aoe, make FnB a buff that costs a soul shard. Reconsider the role of Chaos Bolt in Destro toolset. Why should it be a soul shard spender?

You're not empowering the spells with Soul Shards, you're now useless without them. It's not a bonus thing like Paladin's Divine Purpose, it's part of your rotation. And it's RNG, inconsistent and shitty. This is not good design.

I haven't played since mists of Pandaria, and the hype around Legion gave me enough of a reason to come back.

I log in, check my mail, get two new axes. Cool, nothing too crazy. But then I look on the map, and see this thing, an invasion.

The issue is like you said, Havoc is a huge huge HUGE problem design wise that dicatates that Locks will either be OP as all fuck on cleave or complete garbage in single target scenarios.

With how the Havoc talent functions I forsee it getting hefty nerfs in the future when people wise up to how horrifically strong locks are on any fights where cleave can happen.

Everything else about destro is more than functional.

De-emphasis on Havoc as a core ability, make it a decent cooldown. Add back in control demon on GoSac and everything is fine again.

Artifact traits make it slightly better, yes, but it's still an issue. You have to spend AP to gain the same functionality Rogues and Paladins get for free, since apparently Soul Shards are now your combo points. This is not okay.
Warlocks should use Soul Shards to boost the spells they normally use, not use them as spell fuel.
Then you can fiddle around with their entire kit, making their performance consistent.

The awful rng mastery doesn't help at all either. It's basically half of what every other mastery does and it's impossible to balance not to be like that. This is bad design.

Havoc simply needs to go. The fact it exists and that warlocks can spec into permahavoc on-demand makes them absolutely impossible to balance. Either they admit the warlock should do twice the dps other classes do on cleaves, or they remove it and bring back old FnB.
Otherwise Destro will ALWAYS be balanced around this and thus suck on ST.

Saurfang is well respected by the Orcs, thats why he stepped up as their racial leader, but doesnt have enough respect from the other races to be Warchieft.
Lor'themar is about the same reason as Saurfang.
Sylvanas is an outstanding choice, she is a proven millitary strategist, was ranger-general of silvermoon for a really long time, and is pretty ruthless when needed.
She has been a great character since warcraft 3, anyone who thinks she isnt a good choice for warchieft is either new or just hates her for no reason.

I made a Orc, got on my chauffeured chopper, ran to about 40 minutes of one in crossroad. It reset in the same area and I did the entire 2 hours of the next one without a break. ALL I did was stage 1 and 2, log out and repeat for close to 3 hours. Then that one ended and I spent a small amount of time getting a port to shrine and going to the one at the back entrance to Org for another about 2 hours.

Destro gets almost the same % values per mastery point Affliction does.
Because of the way the mastery works, a Warlock with 100% mastery will basically get only 50% damage increase total over the course of the fight.
Meanwhile the Affliction Warlock will have his dots consistently boosted by 100%.
Mastery for Destro is a non-stat, basically. And it's impossible to balance either.
