Hero Blade 4 and Master Blade are pretty good. 160/180 raw, 40% and long blue sharpness is pretty good. Apply your crit oil and you are up to 70% and you will be doing a good amount amount of damage.

Spend a bit of time getting used to the timing on when you need to aim mid-Dodge during an Adept dodge to actually hit the monster if you fire a shot out of power reload, or to be already aiming at the monster if you use Crouching Fire out of a power reload (Crouching Fire doesn't happen as much as you'd like solo, but the more you can do it the better, and doing it out of an Adept dodge is the most viable way to do it). And while you're at it, get used to the timing on when you should be using the dash instead of the power reload out of an Adept dodge.

Just curious, what do stamina and attack do?

Like the one I have is just a speed type so I can have a bullet bug.

But if I have a stamina bug can I have it repeateldly attack the monster? I can only give it three commands before it returns, will stamina give me 5 commands?

What does an Attack only bug do? Is it like super strong and I can halve my attacks between glaive attacks and bug attacks? Like can I go range only almost?

Monster Hunter was a better multiplayer game when people expected each hunt to take a while than it is now that people start bitching at anything that takes more than ten minutes.

I miss MH1/2/3 online play where it was pretty much customary/expected for everybody to take a trip around the map hitting whatever mining/gathering/bug/fish spots they wanted at the beginning, and then to meet up at the monster after a couple minutes had already gone by, because all the gathering was doing was tacking an extra 3-5 minutes on to what was already expected to be a 20-30 minute session.

This god damn Silverwind Nagacuga has been dancing around this trap for a few minutes now.

Fucker is mainly standing around and shooting his slashes. (His tail is cut so he can't even hit me). I don't have to move to evade.
Every time he does charge at me he stops right in front of the trap radius.
Doesn't matter where I stand. He runs towards the trap and then does a ranged attack.

Rathatlos for example will often stop his charge and fly the few meters over a trap if enraged. Easily countered by a well timed flash bomb though.
